If history is any kind of a teacher, Gruden, Kelly, Bob Stoops, Patterson, and Peterson are totally unrealistic choices. With that being said, for what I know, the top 3 realistic choices would be:
1. Brohm
2. Venables
3. Babers or Strong

Strong won't leave USF after 1 yr.

Currie ain't hitching his wagon to Petrino and his buyout is too much.

Ditto for Brohm.

Matt Campbell - Maybe should be #2 behind Kelly.

Pelini was solid at LSU and Nebraska.

Schiano should be top of list.

I would stay away from Norvell.

Can't risk Frost to Nebraska.

no particular order....Frost, Brohm, Fuente. i think any of these three could be very successful here for a long time.

our "won't settle for less" list...Franklin or Gruden. don't think either is happening, and i'm not sure Gruden would be the uber success so many think. but, if he is that guy, go do all you can to make it happen. i think Franklin would be great here.

just don't think Kelly is a good fit here. he'll get back in to coaching, and he'll go to a school that fits and will probably be successful there. that doesn't mean that we will have 'missed the boat'.
