That may prove to be a major distraction...if we have zero C > QB exchanges this week and he keeps his man from breaking Bray in half, we may have our center for the next 4 years.

I'm loving everything about Stone right now and believe he's probably going to stay at center for the rest of the season. I think Crowder will take over at center if he picks up on things as quickly as Stone which correct me if I'm wrong, but he's extremely smart too so that shouldn't be an issue. Stone has proven to be versatile and I really think he'll end up help the incoming class a lot with his knowledge.

I mentioned this in last nights game thread in the 4th quarter. For something the staff was so worried about the true freshman showed he could get it done. I was a little curious as to the way he snaps in the shotgun. Did anyone else notice how he just held the tip of the ball and kind of just flip it back to Bray? Most centers I have seen hold the ball the same way if they are under center or in the shotgun. Just something I found interesting.

The grip on the end of the ball produces a "dead" ball snap. Should be more consistent and easier to handle.

Yeah. Harry Hiestand was fired by the Bears because the OL sucked year for Chicago. They hire Mike Tice, and the OL is even worse this year. Pretty amusing.

I agree. Memphis actually had a decent Nose Tackle, and Stone was doing well and didn't botch any snaps. No reason to plan on him getting moved to make room for a guy who is still playing High School ball.
