He definitely outplayed McElroy. Props to JC & the Coaches for what they have done in the last six weeks. Here's to improved play for the rest of the year.

Let buck up for the receivers too. Tey made some catches with people absolutely draped all over them.

Gerald Jones in particular made some catches while giving DB's piggyback rides.

If he plays well and engineers a win next week, I'll get on board. Otherwise, I'm still where I've always been.

His inability to recognize Arenas blitzing damn sure hurt. Arenas always tipped it and we still kept rolling to him after very slow developing fakes.

I think his biggest improvement thus far has not been falling apart when put under pressure. There were numerous times today where he was under pretty heavy pressure and remained calm, delivered the ball and gave our receivers chances to make plays. Last year the ball would have been in the stands before a receiver ever had a chance to get open and make a play.

Kid is gonna go off on South Carolina. Any time Kiffin is able to blow Cromp's stats up he will.

I agree...Lane thinks he has the tools to play at the next level. I expect to see the passing game take a larger role in the next 5 games and give the scouts something to think about.

Crompton has my respect, big time. He has been under more fire than any player in UT history and he responded today with the best game a qb has played against Bama all year.
He was under fire because he deserved it. He is playing great now and deserves some serious cred. I am most happy for him. I'd hate for a kid that wears the Orange to go out in the direction he was going. High five Crompdaddy. :toast:

Just saw a replay of his last completion to Stocker. That was as good as it gets.

Absolutely. Stocker has improved as much as anybody on the team. Stocker may have improved as much as anybody on the team from last year.

If he plays like he has in the last 2 games for the rest of the year and in a decent bowl and some key juniors(aka Clausen and Bradford) dont declare like i expect them not to, would they?!!!!

Absolutely agree. I was on him as much as anybody. But the way he has turned it around makes me have great respect for his resiliency.

BTW, the recivers desrve some serious props too. Over the last two games, I've seen some outrageously killer routes being run. Flat out technical masterpieces. They and Crompdaddy are making some db's look STUPID

Crompton has my respect and Kiffin has my respect for doing something none of us thought he could do. He's turned crompton into a serviceable QB, that's commendable.

Not sure what Crompton has planned after college that doesn't involve football, but I have a feeling he's going to be hugely successful at it. The kid isn't willing to quit. (This team is built around the refusal to quit it seems....Crompton is leading the way)
