I have a framed copy of Crockett's land grant and discharge from the Army of Texas. The General Land Office in Austin has the original. It is worth a visit there to see the archives.

I'll get it out and do that. It is pretty cool. The GLO is pretty cool and has the oldest official documents in Texas, or so they told me.

Have seen original signatures of Bowie, Travis, Houston, etc. One of the neatest things was a Spanish Crown Land grant to a mission in San Antonio from the 1600 or 1700s that looked like it came off of a laser printer the script was so perfect. It was like a work of art almost.
