If you run it down on purpose and are caught you go to jail. A vehicle is not an approved weapon for hunting purposes.

Well that's stupid. If you run it down on purpose, you have to leave it there, but if you glance at the radio and bonk it in the head, its for dinner?

It does seem like an "reward" system for inattentive drivers.

Alaska has had a similar law on the books forever, but it is a little different up there. If you hit something, it's probably a moose, and if so your car is almost assuredly totaled. A few hundred pounds of meat that would have otherwise gone to waste doesn't offset the damage, but it helps.

While we're throwing stones, did you know it's illegal to gather and consume roadkill while in Tennessee?

You boys needed a law to keep you from doing that?

Did you have to go and google something to make fun of Tennessee for? :eek:lol:

Alabama borders Tennessee... so, yes we need a law to keep those bastards from standing in the highway.

Fortunately for you, it's still okay to bugger your sister...or your favorite sheep...in your little corner of heaven.

Otherwise, the "three strikes rule" would have sent you away a long time ago....right?

Oh.....your village called....your old job remains open.

Go Vols.

While we are on state laws...

This is a clerk of courts site from Florida. These are the FAQ's. Read the 20th question. Keep in mind that these are the Frequently Asked Questions...

Brevard County, Florida - Clerk of the Court :: Marriage Licenses

Q. Can I legally marry my nephew?
A. No. Although the marriage license application does not specifically ask about possible relationship of the parties, Florida law prohibits close blood relations from legally marrying. These include such relationships as parent-child; brother-sister, uncle-niece, aunt-nephew. The nearest degree of relations who may legally marry in the state of Florida is first cousins.

Wrong... fail. TN was actually one of the first.. if not THE first to allow one to take home road kill. Pretty smart to not let good (fresh) meat go to waste. Too bad it was the butt of late night comedians when it was passed.
