I figured there may be trouble in paradise when I saw every major player on the staff signed 3 year contracts. RG didn't get a new contract. He was working on the last year of his current contract. If Pruitt was really sold on him, I believe he would have been given a 3 year contract also. Just my opinion.

Alabama would love to trade analyst Weinke for Gillespie. Weinke didn’t help Alabama with IMG, a lot of Bama fans thought he would. All the kids he knew there are now gone. UGA may look at Gillespie as analyst as well.

Sure he would, for one year. UT will have to pay the bill minus what new school pays him. Alabama hired Kevin Steele for 50k and Clemson still owed him the rest of his contract, about a million. Gillespie isn’t getting a job paying more than 525,000 this year.

Gillespie was solid but he coaches probably the easiest position and he can be upgraded.
Wish him well and move on. It’s not a big deal

Everything I've read is he left on his own, so UT wouldn't owe him anything in fact he would owe UT.
