Saw it tonight. Decent. Far better than the film that came out a few years ago but doesn't hold a candle to the original movies.

GHOSTBUSTERS: Afterlife - 4/5

I really enjoyed it. I thought the young cast did great and it brought a smile to my face. The ending also brought tears to my eyes as well.

I loved trying to spot all the Easter eggs.

I think it's a great reboot to the franchise after that monstrosity from 2016.

I do have a few problems with it.
One being no mention of the events from GHOSTBUSTERS 2.
No appearance from the little green spud. Who is the grandmother?
What does Winston's company do?

I think this was the ultimate tribute to Harold Ramis.

I think someone was cutting onions in the theater during the last scenes.

Like Cagle, I want to know what Winston's company does, which I think we may find out if they take the series to the next step.

I also wonder if they do another one, if that one will tie directly into 2.

Did you see the mid & end credits scenes?

Absolutely loved it. Phoebe was incredible. Simple. Didn't overact. The bad jokes were a great touch. The story wasn't over the top. Just enough nostalgia without completely going all in. Enjoyed it way more than I thought I would.

😪

How poetic he was the stand in for Egon in the Afterlife finale scenes.

[/QUOTE. Bummer of some news he did alot of my favorite comedy movies. Stripes, Twins , Kindergarten Cop and Evolution and of course Ghostbusters. RIP Ivan Reitman
