I'm thrilled to have the players signed that we do, but it is hard not to be disappointed with Dawson and Jernigan. Hope we can somehow get Wright and hold onto Maggitt, which doesn't sound likely.

You can't have it both ways in recruiting. Alot of people whine as we are not getting enough commits throughout the year. Then, when we do have almost a full class the night before...people whine as we don't have a bunch of NSD surprises. Look at Texas...there class is done months before NSD. Also of places don't expect alot of news on signing day. Moore, Maggitt, and Clear all could have waited until today to announce. Would that have been better? You can't have it both ways.

We missed on 1 guy we ever had a shot with...Dawson. Don't forget about Moore and Clear yesterday. Maggitt moved his commitment up a day. Sure, it makes today a bit less exciting, but big picture is we have a hell of a class. I'll be a bit down if we don't get Wright, but we still have a very bright future.

It looks like we're going to keep Maggitt, and who knows with Wright. We never really had a shot with Jernigan, and Dawson was just one of those recruits. It happens.

The difference between us and Texas is that even without any NSD surprises they are going to sign one of the best classes in the nation.

If they'd all announced this morning, everybody'd be pounding their chests and setting off fireworks about how Dooley had added four four-star players in one day. Instead everybody's whinging about being disappointed because they all fell for the inevitable yearly Mysterious Big Fish Rumor that always turns out to be BS. People have no freaking perspective.

As long as a Jernigan and Dawson aren't in the SEC (and particularly Florida), it's half a pickup for UT.

When there were no recruiting limits, Bear Bryant was very effective at taking top recruits off the board, benching them at Alabama, and keeping away from Tide opponents.

FSU's great success inures to Tennessee's benefit in the Vols' war with the Gators.

My thoughts too! I recall people doubting lv about a top 15 class all season. We have a chance at a top 10 and people *****. It's like winning the lottery then turn it down because your really only getting half with taxes accounting for the other half. Today is soo much fun...

I agree with this original post.

I am very happy with this class, but it doesnt really help anyones psyche when someone with 'inside' sources comes and says: Richardson 100%, Dawson 95%, Maggitt 90%, and 1 or 2 surprises... That makes everybody happy, sets everybody up for disappointment.

What is going on Maggit? Why are we losing him 24 hours after he picked us? What is going on i dont know about?

The only that has not chose us is Dawson. Unlike alot people, i thought there was a zero percent chance we get Jernigan. Not dissapointed there.

And our class is everything we needed it to be. We have filled our needs, and I think CDD and staff deserve a job well done. If we land Wright, It's a bonus. Go Vols.

Thread title is strong. But if our class is complete right now, I'll be disappointed at the end of the day.
