in my mind i don't think so. i just don't see us getting any better. i think the rest of the sec would have to get worse and i just don't see that happening. especially if our recruiting takes a nose dive again this year. we may even get further behind the pack.

your scenario is possible. i hope not, but could happen. doesn't change the fact that if you give up your tix, etc. b/c of lack of success, i still think that makes you a fair weather fan.

when we play the way we did last night, he should be criticized. i'm not calling anybody out because they are defending him a'm i. i don't agree with it, but i'm not calling them out. typical fulmerite. UT fans have there opinions, i will always be a UT fan, but i refuse to waste my money to go to a game when i know we are going to lose. i can just stay home and get pissed off or drink in the parking lot. it's cheaper.

why i can still watch them at home or at a bar and it is cheaper. i'll admit if i thought we had any chance at heading to atlanta ( other than the peach bowl ) i would go to the games. there is no chance though. thats the only place me and you differ you are still holding out hope. i just don't see it at the end of the tunnel. he's not good.

Our recruiting class wasn't as high last year as it had been because of the players and positions we recruited so that's a wrong answer......But please promise me that you're going to sale your season tickets to someone that doesn't think like you because honestly, I think I speak for TRUE Vols fans, if you come to a game thinking we're going to lose, stay at the house and go cheer for another team

Rocky, It's not just Vol fans that do it. There's still people that post on our boards they want Houston fired cause they hate him so much. You never hear from them till we have a bad game then they come out of the woodwork.

I go to plenty games.....Yeah, most people you tailgate with probably do feel the same way you do because you're all buddies....You call me a Fulmerite all you want to but the fact is that you've not brought any EVEN valid points to the table to prove to the rest of the Vol Nation as to why Fulmer should be fired....So please, enlighten us on why he should be fired.....And bring some good facts other than because of last night and last year because those have both been declared INVALID by you!

Actually, it is the fans who are content with 7-8-9 win seasons and no championships in nearly a decade who need to move on. I'm quite sure that all you people would be just as happy cheering for Tennessee Tech, TSU or maybe even Cumberland and then you woldn't have to drag down the Vols with your mediocre expectations which do nothing more than provide cover to Fulmer and Co.

Last year doesn't matter....You've said it before in other threads....Quit talking in circles....We've at least played in the SECCG....Yeah I'd like to have won those games....But we didn't, came out afterwards and whipped @$$ in the bowl game...Both occasions.....One big one? Yeah, well maybe that one big one got people like you to thinking that we should win the "big one" every year.....Newsflash dude, we won't/haven't/ don't have the talent like the 98 team did

I'm not really content with what's going on at Tennessee, but I just don't feel like piling on and making the board miserable when we lose. Regardless of what we say on here, it's not going to change a thing.

If you're truly upset with the program, start writing letters to Hamilton and Fulmer. Go out and protest or something..

I'm certainly not 100% content with the job Fulmer is doing. But I don't think just b/c we don't want to fire him, calling us "Fulmerites" and discounting responses as being those of "Fulmerites" is essentially conceding that you have no stronger argument.

we didn't have the talent in 01. how many top 10 recruiting years has fulmer had. is it possible that phil is not developing the talent. talent wise we have are share i think, coaching wise we just are not that good. imagine if fulmer doesn't start racking in those top 10 recruiting classes anymore. i can see 3 years down the road 5-6 being the norm at UT.
