Get this family out of Tennessee now

Jumping up and down like a toddler isn’t accomplishing anything..

The fact that he came out said all this tells you that they were involved.

They all need to go, and you can call a tantrum if you want, but apparently a lot of people did not want GS any where near our school and with good reason.

If that many people are telling you that it's a bad idea then maybe just maybe you should listen to them and not follow through with that bad idea

Somebody with more knowledge about this stuff help me out. I get that the Haslams are loaded. They are big donors that have major influence in Tennessee. but are they the only big donors? I thought people like Ergen and Thorton donate big? Do we not have more than 1 big time booster?

My point is how can this one family be the sole voice for the other donors? Or, do all the other donors agree with them?

Yeah, well, we are concerned after Kiffin, Dooley, Jones, and now Schiano that your entire family is too stupid to pick a competent football coach!

The city of Cleveland would agree with us on this!

They weren’t. But they are the flavor of the day on the hate spectrum of Tennessee fans.

None of this matters. It doesn't matter who gives their opinion or what position they hold because the deal is over. Beating a dead horse at this point.

Flavor of the day? So is it your assumption that Vol fans have just now adopted a hatred for the Haslams?

Or year? Or years? Who cares? They don’t aren’t the only donors who signed off on this per reports. Even Peyton and Phil did. That’s the point.

The Haslams are just like the Kennedys. White trash with money.

Nothing more embarrassing than the Anderson’s building our athletic training center and their son choosing to go to UA and sit on the bench 4 yrs. He should have sat on our bench 4 yrs.

To be fair, more than "that many people" thought either Hillary or Trump is the right person for the job. You can choose a side. My point being is that numbers do not signify the level of rightness.

It is best to think for yourself and not be swayed by the numbers that may or may not think the same as you.

Just an observation.

Sounds like there's a war a' brewing within the boosters and well-to-do's in the University. Maybe, just maybe, this is a sign that the Haslam's are losing a bit of their power.

They don't represent the other donors, but they used their stooge (Currie) to try an end around to get Jimmy's coach of the day hired at UT. Currie was hired by Davenport (at Haslam's direction) and presented as a fait accompli when many if not most of the other donors wanted Blackburn. Haslam has run UT athletics through bullying and good ole boy hires for a long time.

It may be the popular thing to do right now to rip the Haslams, but I'm not taking part in that. They are 100% VFLs and are good people. I'm thankful for their involvement in our university.

This whole debacle is 100% on John Currie. 100%. Period.

He tried to hire the guy the Haslam's wanted without the input of other boosters. Hell, they hired Currie over the protest of other boosters because it's who the HOH wanted.

They may have done a lot of great things for UT but they have also destroyed the football program.

Haslam is right though. People believe everything on ghe net and condemned an innocent man. Hope one of my students never falsely accuse me of something. People believe what they want to believe. Sad.

... still glad we didn’t hire Schiano because he sucks at football.

Innocent? The guy is low character. He got in trouble for lying and making up a story about his QB at Tampa Bay saying the QB had a drug problem. You think someone like that would tell the truth about what he saw regarding Sandusky?
