Not sure they want any part of trying to explain why Schiano wasn’t named interim at OSU while trying to bash this fan base. They may touch on it, but I don’t think it will amount to much.

I think most recognize that it wasn't as much the Penn State thing, though we certainly leaned on that excuse, as it was we were about ready to hire another average, at best, coach, who had real culture problems in Tampa Bay.

Massacred might be a little over the top. There will certainly be some naysayers and some rantings of a few, but this is an OC position not a Head Coaching job so that alone should alleviate a lot of the noise. It'll run its course over a week or so and then be old news just like everything else. That's if he even gets the job, he hasn't been announced yet and if he does I don't foresee any massacre just maybe a ripple. There will undoubtedly be some Bama fans yelling foul and crying about injustice if he's hired though, I personally don't care about that though.

It has been brought up many times that Ole Miss was providing hookers to recruits, and neither are "quite a difference". Wrong is wrong, no matter how you justify it in your feeble mind.

OP What will you say when it does not happen. IOW when we are not bashed for this hiring but it is stated that this is a great move by the media......by UT....

Lesson of life can't please everybody....can't get the approval of all....no matter who we hire 50% will stated it is great and the other 50% will say it is not....

So say what you will but a HC and OC exists in two different worlds.....

Sit back and Let go.....ride the wave and live the dream....

A Deal must be cut before Alabama starts searching...for an OC ..... the media understands this and a lot are on board with this....Screw the rest.... there will be some trolls and fans on here that will not be pleased if Freeze is hired....

don't remember anyone chirping about Sir Nick trying to hire him. He's the patron saint for taking in questionable character guys and keeping them under his thumb...Kiffin, Sarkesian, so guess previous expectations and winning gives him a pass. Really don't care what anyone says/thinks if he is straight and narrow w/ UT. If he does well for a couple years, we'll have won some games, and will be in a position that many desire to come in to replace him, if he takes another job.

Ready? You bet your a$$ I'm ready for it. I'm going to take a sick day from work, light some candles, and revel in the moment. BRING THAT **** ON!!!

1st off, I'm afraid this hire will get "UT'd" and some no name will get the OC job but ,as usual, my hopes have been up that Freeze actually gets the job.

2nd, I'm sick and tired of losing and I'm ready to see the powers that be "sack up" and get aggressive in seeking out what TN football is supposed to be. Tired of watching all the rich tradition go farther and farther down the rat hole. If it takes hiring a bad azz with a questionable past of chasing consentual adult nookie, I'm on board.
