Get out the beer and popcorn

So the Administration declassifies certain things, but not other things, related to the same investigation. I can not possibly conceive why...
If you are going to call the way DiFi handled the Ford allegation as political theater, which I still think it was, then call this exactly for what it is: political theater to discredit the Special Counsel by only releasing that which shows favoritism to Trump.
Ask rod Rosenstein? Redacted rod would know why.

So you're officially not interested in knowing if the FBI and DOJ lied to the FISA court to spy on Carter Page and the Trump campaign for 360 days?
I think it's pretty clear that there was just cause for our intelligence community to conclude that Carter Page was a Russian asset and this was true long before the Trump campaign even began. It was foolish for Trump to hire him in his campaign, just as it was foolish to hire Paul Manafort as a campaign manager, George Papadopoulos as a campaign finance official and Michael Flynn as a National Security Adviser.

Now, I have no problem with the release of any information pertaining to how warrants were obtained in the process of surveillance. Four facts won't be changed by any of this: 1) Russia was found to have meddled in the 2016 campaign with a clear preference for assisting the Trump campaign, 2) 3 members of the 2016 Trump campaign have since been convicted of felonies and 3) the June 9, 2016 meeting at Trump Tower did take place with Paul Manafort, Donald Trump Jr, Jared Kushner and Natalia Veselnistskaya and several other Russian agents and finally 4) Trump lied about what was discussed at the meeting and who was in attendance.

I believe the true purpose behind this is the release of more text messages among Comey, Ohr, Lisa Page and Peter Strzok to take out of context and further feed a narrative of "bias" which Trump and his lawyers wish to advance. This paranoid "deep state" nonsense. When will House Republicans and Trump supporters hold him accountable for these hires which showed at the very least, poor judgment? Democrats and the Department of Justice did not force Trump to hire Carter Page, Paul Manafort, George Papadopoulos, Michael Flynn or even Jeff Sessions as Attorney General. Nobody in the Democratic Party or the Dept. of Justice forced members of the Trump campaign to take the June 9, 2016 meeting or forced Trump to lie about it. Nobody forced Donald Trump Jr. to text Rob Goldstone "If it's what you say it is, I can't wait!" They did this to themselves.

Let's see the information used to obtain those FISA warrants but then lets get back to placing accountability where it should be. Whether through inexperience, naivete or a dishonest nature... Trump is to blame here for his lies and associating with these people to begin with.

If true, do you think they should have warned Trump?

Not being a professional investigator, that's hard for me to answer. I can understand why they wouldn't... for fear that Carter Page would be tipped off.

I think there is little doubt, even among Republicans, that there was sufficient evidence to suspect that Carter Page was a Russian asset. Carter Page has openly discussed his own suspicious behavior on MSNBC with Chris Hayes. The hope that House Republicans (Nunes and Jordan) have is in these personal text messages. They want to advance their narrative that there was a bias and that the particular people involved took action in favor of this bias against the Trump campaign.

My theory is that Page's movements tell a story, which don't amount to much until you apply other testimonies or intelligence.

At the risk of sounding Q-ish, Think Courier.

It's a theory based somewhat on intuition, so take that for what it's worth.

I watched Carter Page's interview with Chris Hayes (it's on youtube). He does not acquit himself well at all. I'm not the least bit concerned about what is on that FISA warrant application.

Yeah, I've seen it, he's an odd dude, that's for sure.

Two of the convictions are stupid process crimes and the last was financial crimes that occurred a decade prior and were known.

But yeah “Trump’s admin” is evil and corrupt... 🙄

That's a weak attempt to dismiss the conduct of people who are pleading guilty to felonies. This is going to prove very costly for Manafort who is forfeiting some $20 million worth of property... but you go ahead and believe this is over a bunch of nothing. Nobody with any sense will agree. Trump hired these people in spite of a wide array of conflicts of interest and warnings. He should be held accountable for it.

The other side of that is the perception that a corrupt doj/FBI destroyed lives in a scorched Earth policy to cover their tracks and delegitimize Trump.

The process crimes are a bad look.
Really bad considering the info that the FBI that charged one of them with lying didn't actually believe he was lying.

BS... They took plea agreements in light of facing even more serious charges and for their "cooperation". Michael Flynn very clearly lied... unless you want to believe that Pence was lying too.

...and as far as corruption? It is mind-blowing that you would accuse the United States Dept. of Justice of that and not consider that a group of people who open shell companies for the purposes of laundering money to pay off strippers and playmates with hush money might be lying and smearing our justice system with a false narrative to cover their own butts.

The "Trump admin" has laundered money through fake companies to pay off strippers and playmates all while lying every step of the way over it.

Comparing presidential administrations by arrests and convictions: A warning for Trump appointees

EXECUTIVE BRANCH CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES BY PRESIDENTIAL ADMINISTRATION
Obama 0 indictments, 0 convictions, 0 prison sentences
GW Bush 16 indictments, 16 convictions, 8 prison sentences
Clinton 2 indictments, 1 conviction, 1 prison sentence
GHW Bush 1 indictment, 1 conviction, 1 prison sentence
Reagan 26 indictments, 16 convictions, 8 prison sentences
Carter 1 indictment, 0 conictions, 0 prison sentences
Ford 1 indictment, 1 conviction, 1 prison sentence
Nixon 76 indictments, 55 convictions, 15 prison sentences

A critical eye may notice a trend.
I say Trump tops Nixon.

Maybe nothing that they gathered from Carter Page even touched on Trump, so if that is the case, why would he release them?

The Trumpuppets would say to take down the "Deep State". That is the way they want to spin this narrative. Then in order for that to be true, It would have to lead to Hillary. Why not release Hillary stuff? PizzaGate stuff? Email stuff? The Clinton Cash stuff? Pay to play?

I mean everyone is apparently in on the Deep State. The DOJ, FBI, CIA, NSA all in on it. The FISA court, in on it. Christopher Steele, In on it. The Australian Ambassador, in on it. The missing Professor Joseph Mifsud, in on it.

Good grief! What’s more important, the possibility of a foreign agent getting tipped off or a potential potus being unknowingly close to said foreign agent?

You also said Trump wouldn’t last a year, Mueller has nothing, documents are being declassified and grand jury’s are being convened ie Andrew McCabe for starters. You’re as hateful and disillusioned as you were almost two years ago in regards to Trump, I relish your tears 😂
