"I actually thought we were going to pass the ball, because toward the end you saw Florida just really biting on the run. That's all it was going to be," Jones said. "I felt like if we would have snuck somebody out the back and let me throw it ... but we didn't."

A lot of people are going to be expecting the run, so I wouldn't be surprised if come Auburn we do run it and I might be throwing it," he said. "There's so many things we can do out of that package that we haven't brought out yet."

Are the coaches holding back the offense too much right now?

It doesn't take much to look smarter than the group of goofs they have running that program right now.

Guess that Jones sees our displeasure with that package because they haven't shown it yet. Guess we shall see in the next few games.

why wouldnt you let a guy with Jones's intelligence and talent a chance to run this offense especially when you have a dumbbell quarterback who singlehandedly is ruining this season?

Because Cromp has been here 3 years and it's his turn. Remember, we don't want to hurt the kids psyche.

Oh yea i almost forgot... its ridiculous that a coach runs a program like that.. taking turns... maybe Gerald should be our interim head coach for the rest of the season

Anyone else find it odd that, no matter who our OC is we hardly ever take any chances or do anything out of character. That micromanging rumor may have legs afterall.

It really is a little hard to believe that we've seen this package in more than a half dozen games now...and he still hasn't thrown a single pass out of it. Not one.

We all know Phill...eerrrr..I mean Phillip, runs this offense...Clawson is just a face to receive all the ridicule when the offense doesn't produce.

would have been nice to give Florida a taste of their own medicine by throwing a jump pass at the goal line by Gerald Jones or letting him roll out with the option to run it in or toss it to a receiver.. ahh who am i kidding Phil would never allow his players to run a play that has the potential to work

Lexvol summed it up best "no conference for old men".

Now do you really think our coaching staff is smart enough to come up with something like that.

Nunes, if you are reading this, please reconsider, and don't open up your recruitment. Come here next year and I am telling you, you have chance to be a 4 year starter at QB. We need you man!

I wouldnt want to play for Phillip Fulmer... If i was Jones i would call a different play in the huddle then what the coaches call and do what i actually thought would work and pass out of the G-gun... seriously

This talk about Jones running a play that is not called keeps reminding me of when R.Sanders was still the OC. We were in a game against SC at their stadium and a long pass was completed for a score right before the half I belive. Fulmer and Sanders were interviewed as they were going into the locker room and Fulmer had this tone of "that is not what we were supposed to run . . but it worked" and Sanders had a look on his face like he had called something he was not supposed to and a feeling like he outsmarted CPF. I believe it was with Schaffer playing QB due to an Ainge injury or something. Anyone else remeber this?

My point is that we are probably putting blame on an offense that has a Clawson nameplate but with Fulmer sitting at the desk. I am going to lay off Clawson.

I think the coaches need to ban Jones from interviews. Not that he's saying anything wrong. I would rather keep some of our plans under wraps. That way we can suprise them. Like his statement its going to be a war against Florida. He sholud've just let them find out when the game started.

I wouldn't have run it either. The way that line's been playing, they'd never be able to hold up long enough to allow a rollout or prevent a surge up the middle.
