Nah. But I've been around long enough to know that things can be misconstrued. And also that there is no obvious motive I can think of for jones to try to damage ut.

it's amazing how you guys blow something out of proportion and get it in your head that a guy like Jones is a traitor, non vol, whatever. Kid put 4 years of everything he had into Tennessee and some vague information comes out that he might have said a former coach was a good coach (which he was, so he wouldn’t be lying anyways). If you want to be mad at someone, be mad at Trooper for putting Jones in that position.

Get over it, Jones is VFL.

bottom line is we lost Gabe Wright to the defending national champions... if blaming it on jones makes you sleep better, then by all means, have at it. But to void a guy like jones' entire career over speculation, just shows what kind of joke "Vol" fan you are.

I never said it didn't happen. I said no one has shown me a single fact that he trashed ut. And where I come from, you stay loyal to people who have shed blood sweat and tears for the cause. You don't dump on them or call them a traitor based on a rumor.

So, since you really really think he trashed ut to Gabe, it did happen?

If Jones was a true VFL he would have just said nothing at all that would help AU in any way. I also don't think it had anything to do with GW choosing AU. That is completely beside the point and you know it. If it's allright with you for a Vol to do, or say anything that would help a rival school. Then you are not a Vol, and there is not one dang thing you can say that will change my mind about that.:salute:

Preach bro. Speculation is speculation. What I saw him do while he was here through 3 different coaching staffs will be what I base my opinion off of. VFL IMO

Jones wasn't too thrilled with UT over the last few years, and I could see some of his reasons for being disgruntled.

I wish you guys knew the full story and the full conversation that went on.. Its a shame that some of you are that ignorant.. He never told any kid to go to Auburn.. He was Loyal to UT and he was Loyal to Trooper.. Its amazing how small minded some of you all. He busted his ass at Tennessee.. Played through all the Bull**** of 3 Head Coaches and $ Offensive Coord. and he stayed committed to them 1000000000000 percent when he easily could have said the hell with this and transferred. Remember he had a redshirt year and he could have done so easily.. He Loves Knoxville and the University of Tennessee. He played Hurt more than you will ever know.. Some of you people are unreal...

When a player starts recruiting kids away from their alma mater, they deserve to be banned for life. You're kidding yourself if you think he stayed "100000000000 percent committed" to Tennessee while he's recruiting kids to go to Auburn with Towel Waver.

I understand your point full heartedly. I; however, don't follow nfl until close to playoffs. I'm a NCAA guy. I hope he does well, but all things considering I'm not overly concerned. He did put the hours in on the field and off. Sorry he gets a bad rap.

If.. that is true I apologize for anything bad I have ever said about Jones. One question, why didn't he just tell Trooper it was inappropriate to talk to Wright in any way that would be in the barns favor? That is not a hard thing to do. And what/how do you know of it?

I know this Kid as well as anyone can and I know for a fact what happened.. So if you wanna say you know more about what he was going through then myself then you would be badly mistaken..

Good for you. If he spoke to Gabe Wright on behalf of Trooper Taylor, I hope he's banished from ever being around the program again. If he didn't and that's totally false, which I highly doubt, then I wish him the best.

LOL all he said about Auburn to the kid was Trooper was a great mentor to me and I am very close to him and Auburn won the National title which if the Kid couldnt see that himself (recruit) then he was an idiot anyways. What he said about Tennessee, I love the University, I love Knoxville, thats where I became a man. and Coach Dooley and his Staff have things going back to where they were when UT was at the top..

So, he did talk to Wright at the request of Towel Waver. Shocking. Bottomline, he was recruiting for Auburn.

Look man I am not a hardazz, but if you don't understand how it looks really bad that Jones took a call set up by Trooper, then we are not the only ones who are small minded. I would like nothing more than to believe you. It does shed a different light.:hi:
