Why did we not continue to run this package until LSU found a way to stop it? Works for Tebow and McFadden!

It was stopped once on a hand-off to Foster, and after that we dropped it. I really didn't understand it either.

I imagine that with the lead late in one of the most important games of Fulmer's career, he did not want to risk a true freshman screwing up and costing the Vols.

Well I guess we can understand Fulmer's thinking. Sure didn't work for Florida last year against Ohio State. And it can't possibly work for us.

Well obviously that's not Tennessee football.

Tennessee football is playing boring passive football while hoping the other team makes mistakes instead of creating your own opportunity.

I think the problem with most of our "special packages" is everyone can see it coming. The Crompton option package would probably work, if Crompton played QB the whole game. The difference here is the Gerald was slashing LSU, and outside that one inside hand-off it was working really well. I just cannot understand why we failed to use it more on 3rd and 4 or shorter.

Good plan. Far better to let the senior QB screw up.

I know what you are saying and agree, but funny how it was our sr qb who cost the Vols.

Yet on fourth down late. You throw to a true freshman. Come on. The blame goes to Cutclife. It worked. He didn't use it. Stupid.

Also why do you not get some pass routes to foster. He is the best guy we have with the ball in his hands yet we can't find a way to get him the ball in space. Awful.

it was a great idea to keep running that package. i don't understand why we didn't keep it in for at least half a drive. i wanted to see it at least one play in the second half and it was no where in sight.
