IMO the SEC is more up for grabs this year. UGA, Bama, and LSU all have new QB’s. Auburn, UGA, and LSU have new OC’s or significant changes. It’ll be hard to project what any team does this year. Bama’s usually a safe pick, so if I had to guess I’d pick them to win the SEC this year. Auburn lost a lot on defense, LSU lost a ton all around, and they get UGA early. A&M’s schedule sets up nicely, but doubt they do anything with it.WR is not a concern. Granted the Vols are not ready to compete beyond the east (and that needs QB improvement by alot). Palmer is back at 6'2 200 pounds with 3 years in system, Keyton has a year in system and played behind and learned from 3 stars this year, Gibbs 6'1 200(5* transfer) is eligible after a year in system and has impressed, Johnson is back after redshirting for the team to get a 5th year to bolster the group. A big strong healthy group that is talented and experienced. Hyatt and Callaway will likely play 4 games and redshirt unless they earn more time.
QB is the elephant turd in the room. Can Gitmo pull it together his SR year or will the Vols will have a controversy they dont need that will lead as many as 3 QBs transfering. Best case is that Gitmo channels learned his lesson and is good to go. The flashes he has shown become the norm. Its unrealistic to expect that. It could happen but it's far from a given. Next best case is a rotation of Maurer/Bailey and King/Holiday. I doubt Pruitt does that beyond packages, just not his style. Worst case is they cant find a guy by summer.
They will be helped by a good but thin Oline and a real deep at RB with Gray/Chandler(healthy now)/Jordan all back. Speculation is a bigger LB moving to RB for when a bigger back is needed.
Florida has the fewest questions and the best schedule and the talent to win it and will be their best chance at it in a whileIMO the SEC is more up for grabs this year. I just moved my family out of the Augusta Ga area to Maryville. It's a night a day difference. Significantly better schools and lower crime. It's nice to not have to worry about my daughters safety. It's nice to be around civilized people again.Good luck Brother! I got mine... I live in Woodstock GA now but own a home (which I will retire too) in Copperhill TN! Took me two years to find it.
I just moved from Woodstock to Kennesaw. Kid is about to be in kindergarten and Cobb county schools have a good reputation and it’s a bit closer to my work.Good luck Brother! I got mine... UF will be good on offense. Just not sure about their defense as long as Grantham is there. He struggles against teams with equal or greater talent and has earned his 3rd and Grantham rep.Florida has the fewest questions and the best schedule and the talent to win it and will be their best chance at it in a while
I just moved from Mcduffie county and every school in the district is failing. And that was the norm for Richmond, Burke, Warren, most of Columbia (they were the best district but are free falling) and the local private option school in Mcduffie is a joke. The crime is out of control in the whole area. I was fed up with "its supposed to be better now" and just moved back to where it actually is better. Its amazing the difference when you get out of a bad culture.I just moved from Woodstock to Kennesaw.
