CFB TV Ratings Stay Hot As Georgia-Tennessee Sets ABC High of 12.6M

Georgia’s 44–41 overtime victory over Tennessee was the most-watched Week 3 college football game and ABC’s largest audience of the season, drawing 12.6 million viewers Saturday.

So if you are looking for a moral victory so to speak this is it. Millions of viewers saw that we can compete with the elite (and should have won). Millions saw the UT atmosphere and watched an exciting offense and defense ( obviously we need to be more successful on defense but sacks and TFLs are sexy). Combine this with the #1 WR and QB coming in and this is how momentum builds. Lets keep it up.

Hype victory for ESPN/ABC. Wasn’t much else to watch and it was too ded gum hot outside to be doing much.

I thought this was a post about the number of curse words that I shouted out during the game.

Anyone know what the 2022 TN Bama rating was?

For the record.

Tennessee’s high-scoring win over Alabama Saturday averaged a 6.1 rating and 11.56 million viewers on CBS, the teams’ most-watched game on record (dating back to 1987) and the highest rated and most-watched game of the season.

I thought we hit Georgia hard last week. I was looking for their injury report but noticed they have a bye week. I'm not sure they've had a reason to release any details.

I think Kirby has been very complimentary as well.

They also saw we went into playing not to lose when it really counted and we don't have a Steve Spurrier type coach on the sidelines that can call up a play to win the game. He always made the difference against us.

I watched the game in a Hilton Head sports bar. Good times… bad loss.

I never make excuses for any loss. Not on coaching, officiating, or a single play. Just win the dang game!

This said, I wore my orange all week and made friends everywhere I went. Georgia, SC, and FL fans complemented our VOLS on an “great game” and team all week.

This said… no excuses…. JUST WIN and let’s see GA in Atlanta!

It appeared to me GA won 1st half stats while TN was ahead on the scoreboard. TN O disappeared QTRs 2 and 3.

Great teams “put on more steam” when they have an opponent down. I don’t know what happened but TN should never had let GA hang around.
