Georgia vs Tennessee - Things to Look For

This guy knows a lot of football and last year’s video says our O line holds their own with the GA defensive line. Brooks made a good point about jumbo package being run only. If either C Mays or Locklear can catch a pass we can probably catch GA off guard

I don't think many on VN will spend 49 min. listening to what many of us assume already, which is, UGA is going to try a variety of ways to pressure JG. Play calling by Chaney and JG at the LOS will be critical and quick dump-offs to backs and a screen pass or two going for long gains should be effective in making UGA's defense stay at home. I expect both teams to come up with several trick plays and UT has more speed now than they've had in quite some time. If JG can plant his feet look for some deep pass attempts to Hyatt. Without watching, did I miss anything?

My biggest take away from his review of mostly last year’s game was GA’s D wasn’t physically beating our O, instead their successes were failures by our O to not pick up stunts or not recognizing pass coverages (Maur in that game). This guy is GA fan but made me think we have the talent to win this game IF we play smart disciplined ball.

I'm not sure what you mean about Georgia's defense not physically beating our O last year? Did you forget that hit on Maurer? I'm sure Maurer hasn't forgotten it.

Understand - I meant they blew up plays when they confused our O line with stunts or when our O line missed their assignments. When our O Line blocked the right person we were mostly effective. JMO from watching the guys video review

If I remember correctly, Maurer had rolled to his left And then the blitz came from way outside the pocket that Maurer did not see coming. Likely a dB or OLB which was flexed out to the same side Maurer rolled to. OL had no chance to pick him up in my opinion. Maybe a pass protection scheme issue or a Rb Missed a blocking assignment.

edit: Rewatched. It was a CB from the outside. Maurer was still in the pocket.
