Georgia vs Florida

They have enough offense this year to hang with Bama. They lost to A&M not Vanderbilt.

Absolutely they can hang with Bama. But let's be clear here. There will be fluff about "UFs defense being much improved" but if UGAs Wrs didn't forget how to catch and UGA had a accurate QB, UGA is right in this game. I don't think Mac Jones is going to miss wide open WRs and I don't think Bamas WRs are gonna just drop the ball. I'd have to see that to believe it. And yes Bamas defense isn't great by any means, but it's better than UFs and I think will be the difference. That game is gonna be like a 52-38 type of crazy game either way imo.

Winning out, which is a big assumption, they would be playing in Atlanta with a trip to the playoffs on the line. The last time they were in a similar position was in 2009.

Being in the game, with a legitimately good team, is a step up from the last two years.

And beating Georgia alone is a big deal

It's a step forward, but the end result will be the same. Hey if I'm wrong, I'm wrong. Ain't gonna hurt my feelings to see Bama lose by any means. Lol

Aren't they changing to the guy who originally started the first game against Arkansas and struggled going like 8/17 for 55 yards and 1 INT before getting pulled because they only scored 5 points against Arkansas and were down 7-5 to them at halftime?
This is true lol. Atleast he has the balls to try something different. Other guy wasn't getting it done either so...

Aren’t our recruiting rankings pretty comparable to Florida’s over the past several years? How is that possible?

As terrible as it sounds, I actually find myself pulling for Florida. The Dawg fans have quickly become insufferable.
You ain’t kidding. And I know we’re bad but it’s going on 40 years since they’ve won a NC.

Funny how if you give a backup QB a chance and not pull him after he makes a mistake how he tends to grow into the position as the game goes on...Taking notes Pruitt?....Of course your not...Mathis has come in and drove UGA down the field and gotten himself some confidence...Be nice if we had a coach who would let one of our young studs try that.

Who's their 4th string QB?

Funny thing...they pretty much already are or were playing him.

Transfers Jamie Newman and JT Daniels were more or less planned to be 1st and 2nd string pre-COVID. Then Newman opted out for the year and Daniels isn't able to play for...some reason (I think Daniels' ACL healing had more complications, or his recovery left him out of the program so long during the early part of the season that now you would pretty much be throwing in a QB who wouldn't have practiced or known the routes his WRs were running on each play...but I'm also guessing here).

So either Bennett was the original 3rd string and Mathis was the original 4th string, but Mathis jumped Bennett right before the Arkansas game to start the season, struggled, and lost the job back to Bennett.

Or Mathis was the original 3rd string QB, struggled a lot against Arkansas in the first game, and was replaced by the original 4th string QB Bennett.

Biggest mistake Kirby ever made was sticking with Fromm. Bringing Back Eason after he was good to go would have Fields at UGA. Fromm has a great record as a starter but he folded when it mattered much. Basically Fromm was the JG of UGA.

Great point. Smart should’ve put in JT Daniels. And Pruitt has three other QBs to choose from. He should start one of them.

I'm getting nervous. We've had several chances to drive the stake through their hearts and we've not gotten it done.
