Georgia Tech with a message to Tennessee....

Says who? UGA had a two possession lead in the fourth this past year and still lost.

Heavily aided by a late Q4 interception that gave them a short field.

Not saying it can't happen, but your offensive scheme doesn't really lend itself to being able to come from behind.

Now, having said the same thing as you before you did, I'm gonna have to balance you out a bit.

Those four opening day wins were against:

- Boston College
- Alcorn State
- Wofford
- Elon

I wouldn't exactly say you depended on excellent preparation to beat those powerhouses.

I do give Ga Tech credit for beating some decent bowl teams, like Miss State and USCw. Then again, see my comments above about the key factor in bowl wins/losses.

I agree with you my point in saying that was because the other poster mentioned season openers and us losing together. I honestly think this could be a very good game, but both teams have some holes to fill so it should show both fan bases what the teams are this year.

You do understand GT was one of the top teams in the country in plays over 40 yards? Go back and watch the UGA game. We had two long passes on a close to 90 yard drive to score in the fourth. We came from behind to also beat duke and came back on Pitt to take the lead before they kicked a last second, over 50 yard field goal for the W. GT use to take more time off the clock to score but that hasn't been the case recently.

lol I've actually apologized for the junk people have posted that are GT fan on this board. Not one time have I been rude or talked junk on Tennessee. All I've done is inform about cut and chop blocks. A matter of fact I just agreed with another poster of yalls. Me stating facts isnt trolling. Seems you just don't like the facts.

Butch has a perfect record in bowl games, but his record with "time to prepare" last year wasn't exactly sterling.

Tennessee almost (should have) lost to App after having all season to get ready and the loss to South Carolina was after the bye week.

But the team was pretty impressive vs Nebraska in the bowl game, weren't they?

Still, my point is it would affect y'all as well. People want it illegal, but what put a limit on how many times per game? how many times it happens shouldn't matter. Imo it would be easier for a guy to get injured not knowing it's coming from a team like Tennessee, than a guy knowing it's coming from GT because you are prepared for it with GT. Regardless though it should be a good game.

You going?

The design of the roof obviously was too complicated. Too many moving parts, it would seem, with the eight pedals or whatever they're supposed to be.

Yeah, I've gotta say, TF1 seems like good people. If you go over and read techswarm or whatever, there are some real pretentious pricks.

A few that have actually come out and said Tennessee is beneath them, things like that.

Thank you, unfortunately almost every fan base has that mess. It honestly gives all programs bad names, some more than others. Glad you all aren't like UGA.

Should UT need to spend months preparing specifically for App State?

We did have a spring and fall comp in 2016 correct? A substantial amount of practice prior to our first game?

No they shouldn't need to spend months preparing for Appy State. That's why I disagree with your assertion that they did.

Agreed.

I didn't suggest his record was flawless. But his overall performance with time to prepare has been generally solid, with exceptions of course.

A loss to South Carolina or a close win against Appy State doesn't change that fact imo.

Who said that they spent the entirety of the months preceding the start of the season preparing for App State alone? I didn't. I'm not sure where you keep getting this stuff.

My bad. I thought you did.

Months on end to prepare for a sunbelt team, and we had to go to overtime and rely on a miracle fumble recovery to eke out a win.

The Georgia Tech game probably gets a bit more focus as an opener than Appy State did. That's my guess anyway.

I personally think South Carolina is probably the better example of a game that went poorly with two weeks to prepare.

A different team that is missing the majority of the offensive and defensive production from the previous season.

Time to prepare seemed pretty irrelevant in 2016. Months on end to prepare for a sunbelt team, and we had to go to overtime and rely on a miracle fumble recovery to eke out a win.

Coming off a bye week to play USCe, came out flat and unprepared to lose to a Muschamp-coached team that struggled to beat UMass the week prior.

I hope that the coaching changes make a difference in 2017, but it's still CBJ at the top.

Months on end to prepare for a sunbelt team are your words. Freak is right and yes you said it. You should apologize for lying.

I see you aren't familiar with the phrase "months on end".

Having several months in which to prepare for App State =/= spending all of those months preparing for App State alone. I stated the former.
