As of Friday evening we have TWENTY-EIGHT football recruits coming and three basketball. Go Vols!!!
Football Recruiting
2012
-Jordan Jenkins, GA DE - High Interest in Bama and UF, top national 75 recruit.
-Alton Howard, FL WR - 4 star, we are in his top 5. 4.4 40 time.
-Javiere Mitchell, AL OLB- 4 star, this one came out of nowhere. Looks like he may be an AU lean, but we may have a shot.
-Justin Meredith, SC TE - 4 star, UNC Commit looking at UT and Duke
-Beniquez Brown, AL RB
-Karl Joseph, FL S - 3 star, we are in his top 5
-Sheldon Dawson, TN ATH - 3 star, Memphis Commit, pretty solid offer list, 16 schools, top 10 in state recruit. 4.4 40 speed. I'd replace him for Blanc.
-Kenderius Whitehead, GA DE- 3 star, UNC, UGA and UT. Don't think we have room with the Taylor commit, especially if we are making a serious run after Autry.
-Cole Trolinger, GA TE 3 star, this guy is our backup TE option. I don't believe he has ANY major offers.
-Dalton Santos, TX LB 4 star TN COMMIT
-Drae Bowles, TN WR 4 star TN COMMIT
-Jason Croom, GA WR 4 star TN COMMIT
-Justin King, GA OLB 3 star TN COMMIT
-Khalid Henderson, GA OLB 3 star TN COMMIT

2013
-Isaac Rochell, GA DE
-Keyante Green, GA RB
-Christian Hackenberg, VA QB
-Shaq Wiggins, GA CB
-Jay Ellison, GA DT
-Peter Kalambay, NC LB, friends with LeMay, looks like a very solid prospect, 6'2 220 lbs. Clemson and Tennessee are recruiting him early.
-Brian Walker, NC CB
-Jalen Ramsey, TN CB
-Ross Douglas, OH ATH, Tennessee offer, 4.41 forty time.
-De'Niro Laster, OH WR
-Uriah LeMay, NC WR: his bro is UGA's Christian LeMay and he already has thirteen offers.
-Demario Lanier, AL ATH
-Dequan Clark, GA DT

2014
-Deshaun Watson, GA Dual Threat QB

I'm sure this will be a major recruiting weekend, but I believe O'Brien is coming for the LSU game. however he is scheduled to announce his college choice Thursday Oct 6.

Disregard, just edited and put Alton and Karl, those are quality visitors. Alton would be a nice pickup. Looks like Alton and Karl are a package deal, they have similiar top schools, I think South Carolina is one of the only different ones. Wow, we have a great shot with both of these guys.

Somebody please get the ball rolling and start naming visitors for this upcoming weekend.

Justin King (committed OLB starting next fall) will be visiting this weekend. he is good friends with my sons and has invited them to go down on the sideline with him during the game this weekend. This will be a GREAT time for them, and I hope a great trip for Justin. Look for the 3 guys in Dunwoody Letterman Jackets, my twin sons and Justin on the sidelines. YAHOO...

Very excited about Croom and King. I love King's athleticism. Doesn't he play QB for his high school and will be playing OLB for UT? 6'3, 220, rated one of the best athletes in the country. That's exactly what we need lining up at outside linebacker. In a way this guy reminds me a lot of Kevin Burnett and has the measurables of Kevin Burnett, who has had an excellent pro career. I think King is going to be the sleeper in this class.

Yes he has played OLB and QB for the team. It's NOT a very good HS team, he is the best athlete and the coaches ask a lot of him. He is also a good student and always studying and working hard. My sons have known him for 4 years and he is just a fine young man. He will be VFL and fit right in with the program on Rocky Top.

Thanks for the thread. Good idea, & I appreciate any poster that starts a thread like this, AND actually keeps it updated.

But wow!!!! That's all the visitors we are having this weekend? Kind of a letdown IMO. Thought this was supposed to be one of, if not THE biggest visitor weekend.

LSU is definitely a bigger recruiting game, but USCe should be about on par with Georgia.

Just talked to Deshaun he will be visiting this weekend. He attends the same high school as AJ did. Deshaun is my top dual threat QB in GA for 2014 maybe he could be tops in the south hes really that good. Has a offer from Clemson

I thought my header said 2014 Deshaun Watson. No he doesnt have a thread this is a thread dedicating to recruiting and the attendees during the UGA game. Im sure Jmoore can start a thread on him. But hes a 2014 Dual threat QB outta Gainesville High

Thank you Sir. Hadn't seen the name before. Maybe the young man will be impressed Sat. night. 2014 is looking like it could be a special class for the Vols.
