Georgia Opens Favored by a touchdown

I love that we are playing them early in the season. Normally they play terribly early in the season, and then figure it out by the time they play us in October. Still seems like they are figuring it out. Hope this isn't the week they do figure it out. I think we're playing well right now overall, particularly on offense. Need Jaxson Moi back, that would make a huge difference.

Georgia has looked vulnerable early in the season for a couple of seasons. Our timing is perfect and it’s at home. If the crowd stays in it, we’ll win by that touchdown.

I was really confident we'd pull the upset till our D-Line injuries against Syracuse. Now I just don't know. Neyland will keep us in it for sure. The question is can we get pressure with 4. I think Joey is big enough for the moment but he can't do much sitting on the sidelines.

Bobo has figured out a way to expose of LB’s inability to cover their TE’s. I hope this year is different with our more athletic LB’s but if we let them run wide open like the last two seasons I expect the same end result.
Yep. We've seen both our opponents hit those underneath passes. The seams are still there. Question is does UGA have the QB play to exploit it? I'm betting they do and will.

How can you think they hold the Vols to only 24?

I ain't going to pick right now, but win, lose or draw, and the Vols score more than 30 Saturday.
That UGA defense will be a totally different animal for Aguilar and those WRs. 24 will be a tough ask IMO.

i would love for UT to beat the pups!!! I think the line is good but will be closer by game time. I hope getting them early is an advantage.

Agreed I hope we match up better but I am still skeptical.

love being the dog…we always seem to play more loose and confident when where under the radar with less pressure.
We’ve been the underdog to them for all of the losing streak. Not sure about your logic we play with confidence against them. They’ve pretty much had their way with us. But, I guess 2025 is the best year to end the streak. Go Vols!

How is that smart apart from appealing to the past? Georgia has looked bad through 2 games. Which is atypical. They also are breaking in a new QB who doesn't look very good as a passer. We're at home and have looked as explosive on offense as we have in 2 years. And we're at home where the last time we lost was in 2023.

If you simply look at this season thus far and remove your preconceived notions going into the year, Tennessee has a good chance to win. That means a full touchdown dog is unwarranted. Georgia being the favorite is fine by 7 is way too many points.
You disagreeing me is a good but bad sign for my opinion.

Hopefully we get some guys back on defense this week. Don’t know the continuing injury status of some of them, though. We need depth for this game.
