For some reason I don't either.

Maybe it's wishful thinking or maybe it's because he reminds me of Jonathan Crompton.

I'm sure he'll prove me wrong and roll into Neyland with a career defining game, but I just don't see the "it factor" when I watch him play.

Kirby will have UGA ready to play their best game of the season. Never fails they will look bad against a cupcake opponent at some point. But they always play their best against us. Gonna take an A++ game in all 3 phases to beat them. Hurts we have so many key defensive players out as well.

I am interested in playing them early in the season this year. Home team typically get -3 so the line would be 10 or more if in Athens

That seems right to me. Now the biased fan in me thinks people are underestimating this being the first true tough start for Stockton. While the SEC Title and Sugar Bowl had bigger stakes, they were defacto home games for the Dawgs.

If Neyland is as rowdy as expected, there should be impacts on Stockton

How is that smart apart from appealing to the past? Georgia has looked bad through 2 games. Which is atypical. They also are breaking in a new QB who doesn't look very good as a passer. We're at home and have looked as explosive on offense as we have in 2 years. And we're at home where the last time we lost was in 2023.

If you simply look at this season thus far and remove your preconceived notions going into the year, Tennessee has a good chance to win. That means a full touchdown dog is unwarranted. Georgia being the favorite is fine by 7 is way too many points.

That's why I think the issue of Stockton finally having his first true tough road start at Neyland won't be talked about enough.....

The computers aren't biased by past seasons like silly humans. They see only the results from this season. And yes while both teams have played inferior competition, we've dominated our inferior competition way more than Georgia has. The computers rightfully see this as a sign Georgia isn't as strong as previously thought.

This is why artificial intelligence will take over. They're not blinded by silly human emotions not rooted in facts or data.

Think Tennessee will still be able run on Georgia enough keep us balanced enough… don’t care how young we are. Talented group , fixing get even better when sanders moves in this group . Jesse Perry is playing like. All sec lineman right now. Watch him

They do have a tendency to play down to the level of their opponent sometimes. Last year it was against UK in a 13-12 W.

I don’t see our oline as the problem (though they could be - they have not been tested like UGA will test them). I think our dline is an issue . . . Maybe if Moi / Hobbs can play the whole game and play well . . . That will not be the case . . . But up until this point, the dropoff from last year on the Dline is huge.

Gotta start fast imo. Interior D line still worries me. Hopefully Moi is back this week.

The week before the UT game UGA scored 10 points against Ole Miss, two weeks later UGA was losing 20-6 to start the fourth quarter against Georgie Tech and should have lost the game. But for whatever reason between those two games UT could not stop them, they scored 31 with wide open tight ends on a lot of plays. They other games, nothing most of the game. Why? No idea, but they show up every year for UT.

Smart normally has his team ready for big games. Seven points doesn’t surprise me at all. Vols need to come out of the gate swinging .
