Georgia is Tennessee’s new Florida

yeah, not sure what i was looking for, but i ran across that and figured it'd play well regardless.....lol.

Jennifer Aniston wrapped in a towel is always a safe bet. IMO anyway.

When the divisions came to be, it was us and Florida for so long.
And, when expansion came, newcomer Mizzou took advantage of a weak east that nobody seemed to want.
But, now, it looks like that Georgia finally has their act together. They have recruited like the best Auburn look alike bagman would blush over. They are loaded and look to be so under Smart for the foreseeable future.
Meanwhile, Florida continues to run in place and Mullen doesn’t seem to be a recruiting juggernaut.

So, instead of us chasing Florida it looks like it will be Georgia.
Of course, right now we are chasing everyone.
But, I think that will change in a few years.
I think Pruitt has the right staff to get us the talent to go head to head with Georgia in a few years.
At least, we all hope so.

Dude,

Right now, Florida and Tennessee are chasing anyone with helmets and pads.

Alabama, Georgia, etc., are for another day and time

I respect your position but I couldn't disagree more.

I will never never NEVER hate another team the way I hate Florida. I dislike UGA. I really don't care for Vandy. I can do without Bama, but I utterly LOATHE Florida. My contempt for the Gators is unrivaled, unhealthy and irrational at times and that will never change.

Duncan, my big fellow cancer battling brother...you have to be close to my age. I am 41..the gators nearly ruined my teenage years. And i dated hot chicks, and played football all the way thru school. If we hadnt won it all in 98, they still would have probably succeeded in ruining a decade of my life. I could never hate another team as much as i hate floriduh...their players talked trash on national TV, spurrier let them...and then talked trash himself as you pointed out...and they beat us when we had teams that were soooooo loaded they should have never lost a game. I will always love Fulmer...and he gets credit for always winning the "living room" with mom and dad and gettkng the kids to commit....but if we had a truly great coach at Xs and Os...we qould have beaten floriduh all those years and he have 3 or 4 more national chanpionships...at a minimum. Sadly, spurrier owned Fulmer...and Fulmer knew it ,too...no excuse for Peyton led teams to go Oand4...when at least 50% of the defense, several running backs, 4 out of 5 Olinemen, and both starting receivers made it in the NFL...we were loaded back then nearly as well as Bama is loaded now. We had the nost talented team every time we took the field. Young Vol fans hold Eric Berry as the best dback ever...he couldnt touch Dale Carter...Carter was perennial 1st team AA every year like Berry... but he also led the nation in kickoff returns at 30 yards per return ( 29.8?) And was also 1st team AA as a returner...and ...get this...he was the FASTEST player on the field, every single game he played, even against floriduh with their world class receivers. Dale Carter used to bait QBs into throwing his way and then pick em off...and just like his contemporary, Deion Sanders, he was a perennial All Pro jn the NFL until he retired.

I hope floriduh loses evwry single game they play, in every sport...male and female...until Jesus comes back and takes us out of here. Every. Single. Game.

If they were playing against ISIS...i would pull for the meteor to fall from the sky and crush them all...LOL. under No circumstances could i ever pull for floriduh...ever no matter what. If we beat them, and us making the playoffs depended on them winning out to raise our SOSchedule...i would still pull for them to lose every single game, even to our detriment. I loved it when we beat floriduh under CBJs sorry tail...and he couldnt even do the press conference he was so distraught...and ended up quitting in the middle of the season. We did that. We, the mighty Volunteers, got the last word and broke his will to continue on. Made me so happy. Cant spell "ceases" (coaching) without CSS....hahahahahaha

Old Tennessee fans would rather beat Alabama than Florida. New younger fans it is Florida. Georgia has always been the stepsister to those two. I would much rather beat Alabama than Florida.

I am 43 and been a fan since 87.
Honest question, am I a young fan?
I hate Florida because Spurrier had our number in the 90s when no one else did and cost us many shots at the NC.
At what point will I be an old fan?

Ga is not in our heads.
We beat them with far less talent aka both Kiffin and Jones.
Fl is in our heads.
They practically our living rent free in our psyches and need to go away.

Not sure what that means, but you get a like for using Rachel. I still love me some her.

Haha I don't know what Jake meant to say to you, and I don't even know what your note meant to me.

I am totally clueless here. :)

Florida owned us at the height of our power. Manning always played at his worst against the Gators. Our ST always gave up a critical return. Our LBs always missed tackles. Our DBs always missed assignments or took bad angles. Our Oline always whiffed on blocks. We made mistakes against Florida that we didn't against others We played scared and we played not to loose.

No team has cost us more than Florida. Hell I'd argue Fulmer would have 2 or maybe even 3 rings today if Florida wasn't in the East.

Had nothing to do with you, just used your post as a vehicle for my short rant. Lulz.

The biggest issue with Florida post 1990 and Alabama pre 1995 was the fact that they had Tennessee's number over and over. Not necessarily that Tennessee was chasing them. There were several games that either Tennessee found a way to lose or they found a way to win.

You just knew we would lose somehow, someway.

Ah yes, Florida, Florida, Florida. F#%* Florida. Gawd I hate the gators. I'd trade 8 and 3 seasons forever as long as Florida is one of the 8.

Georgia almost always has more talent than us. That is nothing new. Georgia is the most talent rich state in the nation after all.

Yup I would be sick all gameday because in my heart I knew we'd choke one way or the other. Over the years no team has been more hazardous to my mind, heart and liver than Florida. Oh how I hate them Hoss
Sad to say I still feel that way even with both teams being not good.

I don't know about that.

My experiences in Gainesville and with Florida fans will keep them cemented as arch-enemy in my book.

Think I’ll wait until Georgia beats us 25 out of 32 times spanning 5 decades before I agree with this. Until then, I’ll go with “Georgia is up right now, not likely to last, we’ll go back to beating them on the regular here in a couple years”.

It's far too soon to predict Mullen's success or failure at UF, either in recruiting or W-L.

And besides, I'm not sure what good it does you to finish third or worse with UF at the top versus UGA at the top.

If you ain't first, you're last.

This...at this point UT and UF are battling for bowl eligibility and not much else.

Outside of Idaho, we are perfectly capable of losing every game left on the schedule, including CSU today.
