Anybody ever been to the Georgia Dome? Being the UT student that I am, I want to tailgate like crazy down there before I go to the student section and watch us crank some wolf pack A$$

I was there last year for the BSU/UGA game. Plenty of tailgating going on. They also do the fan zone thing down there at the world congress center, it was fun too.

last time I was there was the Lsu/Ut SEC championship and I sweat out about 2 days worth of beer during the game. It was warm. Or at least I was warm. I think the heat was on that game.

C lot (think thats the name) on your left off Northside Drive before you get to the Congress Center. Very short walk to the Dome, plus it's one of a few "large" lots to tailgate in.

I have a 10-20 person tailgate setting up at either International Plaza to the east of the dome or next to Centennial Olympic Park in lot 8 if you are looking at the Parking Map on the GA Dome website.

Lots of tailgating in Hotlanta. The "Gulch" is popular for locals at the Falcons' games and when UT has played there it has been filled with ORANGE!

I personally think the Dome is one of the best sport venues around. Its not much to look but its loud and and there is isn't a bad view from anywhere.

on the way to the game, stop by the CNN center, 1 block away--many food choices, great deals on 32 oz. beers ($5-6)....

Isn't Atlanta supposed to be considering either major renovations to it or getting a new stadium?

I plan on traveling to the GA Dome via the MARTA. Gonna bring a cheap cooler with me, so its no big deal if it doesnt make it back. But once we get to the Dome, where will everyone be tailgating at outside? Gonna be getting there early too! GO VOLS!

Went there in December 08 for the chick fil a bowl. Freshman year of high school and our marching band went down to play in it with a bynch of other h.s bands. Awesome experience. If only Tennessee played in it :/ The parking areas seemed....different to me though. But I obviously didn't tailgate so idk what to tell you there lol. It is a nice stadium though. Also the only pro football stadium I've been to.

Official UT Tailgate is in STATS on Marietta St just down from the Dome.

Vols Connect - Big Orange Tailgate Tour

I went to Stats a few years ago and the servers there were disappointed to hear that I was a UT fan. Apparently a bunch of fans were acting like d bags and a holes after the VT loss in the Chicken Sandwich Bowl.

I hope people don't do that for us this year.

I'll be in the Orange lot the following day for the Clem-Aub game. Have tailgated there before, and it is IMO the best spot around the GA Dome to set up a traditional tailgate. Below is some information on tickets and a parking map. If you go another route, make sure to look into the spots before purchasing. I think the Red and Gold lots are parking decks that don't allow tailgating.

Passes can be purchased here ($40 per spot, includes 2 "fanzone" passes per spot as well):
