I'm going to go ahead and say what everybody else already knows and is thinking. When it comes to the Georgia Dome, the Tennessee Vols are JINXED! And I'm not just talking about Football. Painfully, it applies to basketball as well. The last meaningful game we won in that god-awful stadium was our SEC Championship in 1998. Sure, we may have won the occassional first round SEC tournament game since then, but we proceeded to lose the next game in big disappointing fashion.
What is it about this stadium for the Vols?? It is almost on the scale of the Cubs and Wrigley Field. We are just JINXED!! I hate to bring this up now, but with such a great and promising basketball team this year, they will only disappoint the fans in the end as the SEC Tournament is once again in that dreaded Georgia Dome.

I have been to that stadium many times with great hopes of winning there only to leave severely disappointed and broke. I was there in 1999 and 2000 for the SEC Basketball Tourament when we had very promising teams, and left disappointed. I was also there in 2001 for football as well as this year.

Needless to say, I am NEVER going back to that place until we prove we can win there in any sport. We need to figure out what it is about that horrible stadium and fix it.
Anyone have any suggestions?!?! I HATE that place!!:cray::dunno:

My suggestion to break the UT Dome Doom Jinx at least in football, is a new Coaching Staff.

It's not a jinx. We've either been (1) out-coached, (2) out-played, (3) uninspired or any combination thereof.

Last night it was mainly #1 & #2.

On that pick that LSU returned for a TD, the DB said they had practiced that play, knew we were going to run it there and he was sitting on it. EA should have not thrown into that coverage. You wouldn't expect a High School QB to make that decision.

The coaching staff should have had a better play designed for that situation. Maybe a misdirection roll out to a back or TE. Anything that doesn't stay with our tendicies.
