Georgia and Tennessee Injury Reports

This exact point was made on the 247 podcast. Georgia has athletes. Perry has been really good, but he is an athletic guard, not an athletic tackle (though not unathletic at OT, just “athletic enough.” Whereas Sanders is, well, NFL OT athletic).
I think you’re wrong. Perry is built like a tackle. He’s very athletic and carries His weight extremely well. This isn’t some thick ankled 6’2” guy. Perry may be the best find on OLine this staff has had.

Im sorry, you’re wrong. It is close to the same situation in that they were both 5 star O-line recruits who missed multiple games as underclassman. I never said a stinger was a similar medical situation to blood clots?

Also… No, he wasn’t an “All-American” as a freshman, he was a “Freshman All-American.” Big difference. Roshaun Fellows was also a “freshman all American” way back in 2004. Remember him? Most people don’t. You know why? Because being a freshman all American doesn’t mean anything significant.
It means you're one of the best freshmen players in America. That's significant.

QUESTIONABLE – OT David Sanders Jr.
QUESTIONABLE – DE Tyree Weathersby
DOUBTFUL – DT Jaxson Moi

OUT – RB Hunter Barnes
OUT – CB Rickey Gibson III

Tenn can literally never have anything nice.
They'll just hand it up the middle then hit a few key deep shots. It will be the most uninspiring georgia win yet

Im concerned about the injuries georgia is about to cause to our team if our 2 cupcakes caused this many
We didn’t really have any last week. 3 on the injury list were from preseason- never played a game. Moi and Gibson were hurt against Syracuse, and you can simply get hurt playing any football. Moi is close, and we need him the rest of the season.

Syracuse must have beaten our guys up worse than we thought. I don't believe anyone that got injured in that game has returned to play yet.

Great. So our best two 5* offensive line recruits of the past decade, Trey Smith and David Sanders, both have been unable to begin their careers at Tennessee due to their health.

One with blood clots who is seemingly fine now, and the other with a “common” stinger that has manifested to nerve damage and missing 1/4 of the season thus far. There must be something in the water in Knoxville. You can’t make this stuff up.
Whatever is in the water, Darnell Wright didn't drink it.

I'm a believer in Sanders, but you can't claim he's better than D. Wright until he gets healthy and proves it on the field.

I'm not trying to weigh or quantify the value of D. Wright being a freshman all-american, having an all-sec year, or being a 1st Rd (#10) draft pick. We all know 6th Rd Trey Smith > 1st Rd Darnell Wright.

My point is we've had our share of busts over the years.

Well if we can manage to pull this one off with a depleted defense it will be an even more impressive win. But for now, I'm really worried about our run defense.

I never claimed he was better, just a slightly higher rated recruit. All three were 5 stars.
