Georgia and Tennessee Injury Reports

There's no way Sanders plays. Throwing a true freshman out there at right tackle to make his first start against Georgia would not be fair to that kid! Give him another week's rest and let him play against UAB.

I think this is a part of it as well. I think he could play but he won't start.

As in what’s the injury? The chatter is he had a stinger. Nerve injuries are tricky to deal with because you don’t them coming too soon because of the severe risks it involves.
Timeline is more what I mean, maybe it's more serious then what we have been led to believe.

So you want his first game to be against Georgia? Not first game back, but first collegiate game. That's what you're proposing?
If he’s one of the 5 best OL, then yes. And he was deemed just that coming out of fall practice.

Ask yourself this…if Tennessee opened the season against a top 5 opponent…say Oregon or Penn State…would Sanders not have started (assuming he was healthy) because it’s a big time opponent and it’s his first game?

Of course he would’ve started. Because he’s the best RT. Likewise, if he’s the best RT now, you start him.

You think the line looks bad or something? The line play is good, and other guys are getting reps. It's a win win....
Spin it how you want but it’s not. This is a guy we paid a lot of money who is supposed to be an all star. There is nothing positive about him not being on the field.

@LWSVOL whats the deal with Sanders? Heard anything?

nothing new. I feel they will see how he is Saturday morning and decide if he can go. He got a stinger at practice two weeks ago and hasn't, as of last weekend, gotten full strength back. You have to question if it might be more than a stinger but I've not gotten any indication it is.

IMO, he is the least of the injury problems. We are covered for him. Depth at DT and CB is much more of an issue, especially if MOI can't go.

wasn't me. I hadn't heard anything prior to his injury which is an upper body deal. They are like a double dose of HIPPA on stating what the issues are with players...
