Has anyone ever seen anything from this kid that would make you think he was an SEC caliber kicker? I didn't hear any glowing reports on him last year in HS and he wasn't rated highly so I'm trying to figure out what Dooley saw in him. By all accounts he is not doing well at all so far which isn't surprising. Could we not get a walk on kicker as good or better then Bullock and use the scholarship on a linebacker? If we were going to take a flyer on a Knoxville kid I would have much rather have taken Mobley who is a beast at RB but of course I've said that a thousand times. I've tried not to be to critical of Dooley on recruiting but I've never understood offering Bullock.

Kickoff specialist. Don't expect him to be making FG's at a high rate. It was more of getting someone to relieve Palardy from all the duties. Seems to have worked some, as Palardy has been spot on.

Have you noticed how every high school player that plays in east Tennessee, especially right around the Knoxville area, are always getting called out for not being SEC caliber type players? Give it a freakin' rest.

Probably cause his leg is ridiculous. Kicked it out the back of the end zone in highschool every time.

Jonathan King from Farragut kicked a lot of great kicks Friday night vs DB. Of course they got an E TN beat down...but he is a great kicker listed in the top 10 and being recruited by us.

How quickly they forget he was the kicker at the national offense/defense all star game in Texas in the off-season. You know, the one everybody pointed to as proof that Otha Peters was a great prospect because he was defensive MVP. So Croom plays well in that one as did Peterman. Yet Bullock, who also played well in it, is some nothing that won't amount to anything because he is from Knoxville?

Bullock has a boomer leg. He will get better with place kicks with experience. I do hope they take J-King - the kid is really good. That would then give them two competing local guys for the idiots to talk bad about before they play their first game. Like DY last year and will be with Blanc. Then add in Josh Smith next year, too.

Not sure who your referring to but I didn't do that in fact I did just the opposite so maybe you should be more specific.

You're just like every other person that whines about him not being rated highly and not understanding what the coaches saw in him.

It's high school they kick from the 40 with nicely worn footballs. Palardy was kicking through the goal post in HS. College kicks from the 35 now with brand new footballs that don't carry.

No he didn't I watched him kick several times in HS and even though most (not all) of his kicks went into the end zone it was rare that he kicked it to the back of the end zone. I think if your just wanting a KO specialist you could find a walk on to do that. Bullocks field goal accuracy is a huge question mark.

12 days away!!! so sick of threads like these

Don't open them dummy. I guess in 12 days everyone will start *****ing about Palardy and all will be well. If you don't like threads that second guess Dooley what makes you think they will stop in 12 days?

It has nothing to do with Bullock being from East Tennessee so quit assuming. I guess you missed the part where I said I wish they would have taken Mobley who just happens to be from East Tennessee.

George did miss an extra point attempt in one of the scrimmages. Saw it in the stats. Don't mean much n0t knowing about the snap and all, just threw it out there cause that's all I've heard out of him.

That's exactly what you did referring to Bullock.

It wouldn't matter if Bullock was from Florida I would feel the same way. In the same post I said I wish we would have taken Mobley who is also from the Knoxville area. How is that talking bad about every high school player in the Knoxville area? You obviously have a problem reading and comprehending.

I have not only defended Dooley on the East Tennessee players he has taken (exc Bullock) I have been critical of him not taking a few others so don't try to paint me into the ET HS players can't play club.

You're obviously a douche. I'll gladly take my so called comprehension problem over that any day.

So you fly off the handle saying I said things I never said and I'm the douche? I grew up in South Knoxville and you just reminded me of why I left.
