Genius of Fulmer?

Do you think Fulmer set Pruitt up to bring down Bama? This trail is leading to Kirby at UGA. Will it lead further?

I think Pruitt started out as his man but an opportunity may have presented itself during the tenure which could not be overlooked.

Yes, let’s cut our nose off to spite our face....

Geez!

The only genius of Fulmer is getting himself back exactly where he wanted to be. Which is in control of UT football.

Fulmer certainly backed his way into the AD’s job because it would have never happened save the true incompetence of the UT Admin

And all would be considered failed coaches.

Might be adding Ed Orgeron to that list in a few years.
I guess that I don’t understand the point. These failed coaches have achieved more than 99 percent of their peers. Only a handful of coaches in an era win national championships. Thousands try to win one. Bottom line is that these coaches accomplished more than most of their peers. Trying to label them as failed coaches to narrowly define the terminus of their careers seems like a stretched argument. Most coaches end their careers getting fired. Why label that as failed? It’s normal and expected. To try to label Fulmer as a failed coach is trying too hard. There is enough to go after Fulmer for.

151-52 record I believe that's correct. With a national championship in 98. That's not a failed coach.

If you base your judgements purely on statistics? You might be right. But if you look at the history of the events that lead to a forced resignation? Had it not been for certain things beyond wins and losses (substandard recruiting, declining team discipline), Fulmer very well could have had more than one national championship.

What in the Wide Wide World of Sports are you talking about???

What was his record the last year there? He was a Saint in Ames in those days.
Not saying he didn’t do a great job there for what they were but trying to say he turned them into a winner then saying Fulmer was a failure doesn’t make any sense to me

Fulmer doesn’t have enough intelligence to plan something this involved. Just crazy.

BS. You are what your record says you are. And Fulmer record as a HC is very good.

Nothing happening to UGA

Dawgs247 writer reported the same thing, hearing nothing about an investigation. Sounds like fake news to take some headlines off of us.

My hope, Grazier finds a way for us to sever ties with Pruitt. Once that’s done and Fulmer is busy back slapping, shaking hands, and talking about a new beginning, he is handed his walking papers. Thanks for the memories, but clearly out of his depth at AD. Has he ever even heard of the term “mitigation clause”? Good Lord.
