General Neyland #36 on ESPN 150 Greatest Coaches

This list is flawed. Saban is far away better than Bryant.

Against the best coaches of his generation (NC Winners or Future HOF), Saban had a role in making them quit or get fired: Fulmer, Miles, Chizik, Meyer, Richt, Spurrier

Against the greatest coach of his generation, Bryant went winless in 7 tries against Neyland...

Bryant's ranking is mainly based on what he did at Bama. Too bad Neyland retired before Bryant got to Bama, maybe that streak could've continued.

Once Bear died, he was met at the Pearly Gates. The angel went through the good and bad he did and the angel asked "Why did you masterbate in Neyland Stadium?".

The Bear stated he needed to beat Neyland once

The General doesn't place in the top 10 of NCAA's all time greatest coaches? Meyer below Beamer?

That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works.

One of THE greatest coaches ever to grace the field and he is nearly 40th on the list? C'mon man!

Amazing how the world has changed. At one time the individual who chose to write this article would have thoroughly investigated the records of each individual in each program, compared head to heads, growth and development of the programs and lasting legacy. As was mentioned above I think they took what they know about current coaches and then pulled names out of a hat .
Click bait drivel.
At least half those coaches are more than one sigma out of order

Here’s the process...ok, all ND coaches are in top 30, then pick some obscure guys from nameless colleges so we can sound all inclusive then add a bunch of wild guys and finally gloss over great accomplishments by giving some extremely vague limited info...good work everyone.

The ND/catholic influence was in its heyday for the first 60-70 years of the last century. The mid west still thinks it's still on that ride. Lots of northern press exposure, many TV viewers, etc. to influence thinking. A prime example, was the "Peyton" Heisman fiasco. Lost to a defense player, guess where from, did you say upper mid west? Oh bye the way, I notice they are now touting another defensive guy, from where, the mid west? Better be ready, LSU folks, its happened before.
