So who won the game? I live in Northern KY and while I'm not that big on the GCL I work with a lot of people that are grads and die hard fans.

St. X does end up winning the football State Championship.
Basketball starting up.
GCL south is stacked here as well and probably Top 4 of the Top 5-6.
Last night's action:
Elder drops a heart breaker to Moeller.
St. X stays #1 in beating LaSalle.

It appears that I've done a terrible job of updating this for the one person that accidently stumbles upon this thread. Anyway, here's how the year has played out so far in my neck of the woods:
Elder won the GCL tonight by defeating Moeller 28-14. They kept a perfect GCL record by taking down Lasalle (31-0) and St. Xavier (33-15).
St. X continues to have troubles after the loss of Massa and fell to 3-4 with a loss to Lasalle tonight.
Elder-#1 in the city and #2 (possible #1) in state. Go Panthers!

Updates...
Elder will definitely be in the playoffs, but their spot is yet to be determined. (8-1 record)
Elder is ranked 19th nationally in USA Today and 25th on Rivals.
Moeller and St. X play this week and the winner could possibly squeak in the playoffs, however they'd need help.

Congrats Cincy on the hard fought (lol) win against my school, Centerville, tonight. Attending a game in the Pit for the first time was pretty special and a hell of an experience. We had a great tailgate that started around 3:30 on the top floor of the parking garage right by the stadium. Replogle is a beast for us, but he just cannot do it all. As expected, the Elder passing attack would light up our secondary that is terrible. Our o-line was decimated with injuries, which hurt our run game in a way, but your run defense was just too much. Elder has a hell of a passing attack, accurate QB, and that HUGE 6' 4'' WR that was a huge asset. Congrats, and I'll be rooting for you to represent Southwest Ohio.

Who's watching Elder (1-0, 49-28 victory over East St. Louis) vs. Colerain (0-1, 16-0 loss to St. Xavier) tomorrow on ESPN?

I went to the Pit on Sunday for the Elder-Colerain game.

What an amazing atmosphere. It is easily the best high school football atmosphere I have ever experienced.

I played for Western Hills back in the 80's so I played twice at the Pit and also made it there for the 1988 Elder-Princeton classic as well as the 2001 Elder - Cleveland St. Ignatius game. They are tremendous hosts.

My son will be hopefully attending Elder in the next 2 years. He goes to a Westside Cincinnati Public School but I can't stand the thought of him attending Western Hills or Taft, so we are doing all we can to save up and send him to Elder.

Truly a great program and the Pit is just flat out special. The kids who get to experience playing there are truly lucky.
