I don’t think he was trying to hurt his teammate. Gaulden is a rookie trying to make it in the league. I bet behind the scenes those coaches loved it. A good, clean hit that broke up the pass.

Hit was not clean in the sense that it was on his own teammate. So many thoughts here. Cam left his man out to dry. Gaulden just playing D. He kneeled so he knew it was wrong, but instinct took over. At the end of the day, offense and offensive coaches gonna be mad, defense and defensive coaches gonna secretly be happy but tell him to save it for the real competition

It's practice you don't want to kill each other in practice and get a bunch of injuries before even playing a game

I get why people were upset. You aren't supposed to lay out your teammates, especially in late July. However, there is something to be said about Gauldens mindset. That type of competitiveness is invaluable because it drives the players around him to be better.......I'll allow it.
