I care, because it shows whos got better coaching systems. Great coaches make other coaches better. Look at the great coaches like Bill Walsh, and Bill Parcells. You know how many quality coaches have got their start with those guys? INCLUDING Gruden? It's HUGELY important. And a sign of how much a head coach is respected in NFL circles. Noone hires Jon's guys because he's not a good mentor, and his systems haven't proven to be effective.
He's also not a players coach by any stretch, and you'd be hard pressed to find many guys down here who really love him.
Now that the Super Bowl monkey is off Tony's back, you can't name 1 damn thing Jon has that he doesn't have already in spades.
Gruden has to get into the playoffs this year to save his job, everyone knows that. That's why he pooped his pants when Calvin Johnson got picked. He knew he needed an immediate impact weapon and didn't get it. He would have gladly mortgaged the Bucs future and traded up to get CJ just so his beloved offense could look pretty. Luckily, ownership didn't let him.
