Gators claim TT "trucked" Berry

we all got to see the defending SEC D and O players of the year get together on the field. I enjoyed it and it may never happen again

Not that I agree with the Gates, but who cares who trucked who?

At the end of the day, Berry picked him off, had a couple of TFL's on him, and made his passing game miserable all day long.

Tebow himself has admitted that Berry is the best defender in the conference.

Are the Gates that hard up for highlights from this game that they have to argue this "trucking" call? I guess so.

:good!: They were both gamers. I have a ton of respect for EB. Who was the guy who knocked Brandon James' head off? Now that was a hit.

You know Clearwater, I try to explain to my dog that no one likes a hypocrite.

You hang out at a Gator because you're sick of the homerism on Vol Nation and then you take a post that you find homer-like and put it over here to further antagonize the faithful here.

And then you'll want to come back to a Gator site and have everyone treat you nice while your throwing fuel on the fire over here.

Look at my posts in that thread (Tebow's Defender Hall of Shame.... - GatorCountry.com Swamp Gas Forums) and show me again where I am acting nice and saying anything different that what I have said here. I defend my point of view regardless of where I am.

I'd call it even too. The thing I like about the EB/tt hit is that both of them knew it was coming and prepared. As much as I liked the result of the Janzen Jackson hit, it's not the same. It's easy to blow somebody up who doesn't see you coming.

There are plenty of videos of "great" hits that are the football equivalent of a sucker punch. I'd much rather see any version of the Tennessee drill mano y mano.

All we have to remember is who the player of the game in Gainesville was. EB made his head disappear into his shoulder pads and he fell straight to the ground. I'm no expert but I say for someone who is 40 pounds less than you, the destruction you do to that person needs to look better than that. I also love how gator fans argue Berry didn't hit him straight up ever again. It would be different if Tebow even tried to put his head down and test Berry again, but he didn't.

Berry wins!! Tebag dropped short of the first down is all that needs to be said! Now, Branden James and JJ is another story altogether! That was a complete azzwhippin!!!

:toast:

I can't believe nobody is talking about Tebag and Urby Cryer's little walk across the field before the game with their arms around each other! I really expected people to be killing them. Looked like a scene from "Brokeback Wall Street, the Sequel!

Is it me or are they beginning to look alike.

CBS College Football had a re-run of THE hit, in slow moting and from a different angle. EB hit TT and stopped him in his tracks, actually, TT was going backwards for a split second. Then, the other two UT players hit them and that's when TT fell forward, and EB went backwards. The view clearly shows EB got the best of it.
Wish I had the link.

I saw the same one EB set him back on his heels

I say just sticky a a thread here called "QB's that have had their manhood stolen by Eric Berry"

List Tebow twice.

if you watch it, they both smack into each other, and then both start falling backwards (respective to how each one was facing) and then the other two vols come and push the whole pile forward

yes I'm well aware of the stupidity I will encounter over there.I signed up as yodawgyo on their forum.

It's pretty funny because there's a thread over there about top 10 uspets in BCS era and the '01 FL/TN was on the list. and many people are trying to say a top 10 team losing to another top 10 team shouldn't be considered a huge upset. I guess they forgot it was our first win there since '71 and we were 17 point underdogs.

I in no way see TT "trucking" EB, I see TT stopping in his tracks and sitting down. EB stands up and I think would have remained standing had the other UT players not ran into him.

I couldn't agree more. It is clear that if it was just the two of them that EB would have been the only man standing and Tebow would have been stopped dead in his tracks. Would have been AMAZING if it would have worked out that way. Would have been hit of the year.
