Guess we'll find out if The Toyota teams and Hendrick cars have solved their camshaft coating problem.

Both have had engine failures that they have traced to a coating they put on camshafts to avoid initial start-up wear. Apparently it is coming off on the lifters causing them to stick, which of course results in valves and pistons having unfriendly contact. I know Dale, Jr was one of them and Michael Waltrip.

i thought i saw that. will the 48 have to start from the back on Sunday? or just today? or both?

All who switched will have to start in the back today only, any changes after the Duels will result in going to the back in 500.

Roger is at the track today. just heard him on the scanner. i'd say with the captain around, there won't be any nonsense today.

Kurt blew a motor. he's going to be using the provisional. means Elliot and Jarrett have to race in.

well it looks like Toyota is gonna have a good year too.. Im glad to see Jarrett make the 500, Andretti too

I remember when the guys actually raced in these qualifiers. There needs to be a change in the current deal with 35 locked in. At least drop it down to 25, but I say go back to the previous set-up at Daytona. These races are really nothing but testing sessions for all but the Go or Go Home drivers.
