All my Gator friends got real quiet on social media after the 3rd quarter..... priceless!

Side note: This is the first time since Fb came to be that we won.... that is crazy if you think about it.....

florida will likely lose 3-4 games, then get another bowl beatdown. mcelwain better start recruiting---their class is ranked pretty low.

UT vs FL game thread at TideFans.com Good read, especially once the tide turns.

The guy named "Bazza" on there is a FL fan.

Game Thread: UF @ UT (was: discussion / rumors) - Page 8

Oh man, this is like a good book. Right now I'm on page 14 and the d*ck sucking of the Florida defense is through the roof or the "GATAH D" as they call it after shutting us down at the goal line. Can't wait to see what kind of plot twists this one has as I get closer to the end hahahaha.

Yep, it was every bit as good as I thought it would be. Spent the first half of pages reading about the dominant "Gatah D" as they called it, and how awful Tennessee is.

Then spent the last few pages reading about how "Tennessee is not as good as they looked in the second half" and how the "Gators blew it" and "I'm not worried about Tennessee" after we blew it open for about 350 second half yards against the #1 defense in the country. Alabama is now worried :eek:lol:

You guys have suffered for so long, you deserve the opportunity here to make fun of us Gators fans for whining and complaining post game.

Its funny, though, you read those comments and I swear if I had the time I could go find the exact same comment here, in substance, by some Vols fan about UT. I guess in the end we are all similarly unreasonable about our expectations.

Law-tell us did you shed a tear or have an extra drink or two?

So very, very true. But we have to enjoy this while we can, right? We've been Florida's b*#@ for a long, long time. We're going to have to string together quite a few years of wins in this series before we really have a right to run smack at Gator nation, but I believe this one will taste pretty good for at least the next 11 months.

All the Gators need to do is keep Dobbs throwing and they win.
:eek:lol:

Weird that UT is trailing by four but feels like they're leading...
:eek:lol:

Gary is getting annoying now, pumping the Vols nonstop.
:eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol:

Well, they couldn't catch anything in the first half and now they are catching everything in the second. Dang.
:eek:lol:

Guess that UF defense isn't all that it was hyped to be.
:eek:lol:

Unbelievable. There is no way Tennessee and Josh Dobbs can be that good.
:eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol:

I don't know if Del Rio would have made that big of a difference at this point.
:eek:lol:

Watching this game reminds me of why I wasn't upset when Nuss or Mac left. LK isn't perfect, and I'm honestly ready for a change, but I'm glad he goes for the jugular...
typical Bammer....:eek:lol:

Gassed or not, UF knows they are beaten. 11 yards in the 2nd half...
:birgits_giggle:

I know nobody on here wants to hear this, but the vols are a much better team than most want to admit.
:thumbsup:

A&M won't keep them from winning the East though. They need to pick up some not so obvious losses. I don't want to play them twice this year.
:eek:lol:

that was truly awesome.

it's not every day that you can disappoint FL and Bama fans at the same time.

I still have a headache.

Oh, I'd say that:

1) after all those ill advised pregame comments by the Gator players;

2) the last decade and especially the last two years of frustration;

3) the big comeback nature of your win...

you've earned the right to throw some smack back our way.

Now, just don't squander the position you are in! Win 'em all, from here on out !!

I could read that stuff all day :D

We are more talented and deep than they are and have a far better coaching staff. But all it takes are a couple of well timed mistakes. Now, Georgia looks like a cake walk for them but I will say Texas A&M might derail them.
Yeah, they are giving off similar vibes to those Auburn teams. Talented enough to knock anyone off when the momentum's running their way.

Probably the most concerning aspect of our matchup with them is that their offense and ability to build momentum is almost entirely built off of big passing plays. They've got a couple of very talented WRs... similar to the guys at Ole Miss who have made us pay on go up and get it passes. To be clear, Dobbs is a poor passer and their passing game is only really likely to connect on one or two of every couple handfuls of plays, but they've got that heave it up in desperation and still make you pay ability that's bothered us for a long time. And of course, they hit just one of those, and their running game really opens up. It's an offense that has a tendency to be absolutely stagnant for long stretches; but it threatens some of the areas that have had a history of being Bama (relative) weak spots.

The elephant, at birth, weighs 250 lbs. making it the biggest baby in the animal kingdom. Next to the Florida Gators.
