Either beat the crap out of the tail to tenderize or eat some chicken instead

I've grilled before. Fried is really good, but not done it myself. But, this year, we stopped by The Pepper Palace in Gburg while staying for the Montana game and got plenty of Gator Jerky sticks ready for Sat.

Hopefully, we'll tenderize a bunch of the ugly a.. reptiles this Sat.

My dad used to cook it... said he was gonna get some gator a$$ one way or another. I never thought it was good. Just cook a steak.

Gator meat is OK but chicken is much better. We have way too many gators down here and need to up the hunting permits. Spot a gator license plate, bumper sticker, etc and fire when ready.

I have tried grilling it a couple of times, and it's just not that good. I did gator bites using a recipe very similar to the Paula Deen one above, and they were quite tasty.

Try soaking it in some of this. Haven't tried it but the cock fans gobble it up.

If you are ever in Baton Rouge, try the blackened alligator at The Chimes. By far the best gator I have ever had.

Sorry to bump an oldie, but does anyone know where I can get some gator meat locally?

I cook Gator every year before the Florida game and my recipe is awesome.

Cut the gator meat into cubes, set aside.

Mix one cup flour 1 tbsp cajon seasoning (Tony Chachere's is the best) 1 tbsp sugar, 1 tsp black pepper.

Bread gator meat in the breading and deep fry. No wash needed just throw it straight in the breading.

Serve with Tartar sauce. I mix a little hot sauce in with my tartar.
