In case you couldn't tell from my name I hate their board. I use to post on there all the time but got banned for no good reason other than posting facts. That stated, their fans are the most obnoxious fans in the country. I look on there and they wouldn't trade Brantley or their WRs both which they have made fun of in the past for our studs? Their WRs have been overrated garbage for 2 years. They think they can just bring a B- effort and win. I hate those people. That is all. Hopefully we play well and knock the smug grins off of them. That is all. Go Vols!

If we bring an A+ effort and they bring B- effort, it will be close.

Effort will not be a problem for either team. In order to win we're going to need to hit some big plays which we've proved we are capable of doing and we have to be at least +2 in turnover margin.

I understand them feeling confident but it's not like they were any good last year. They have recruited speed & depth but they haven't put it together just yet. TN couldn't even run Dime Defense last year. Had no depth on OL or DL. It's a new year. Got to give Dooley credit for addressing needs with jucos & others.

Here's the thing about UF fans:

When they win, there are tons of them and they are really loud.
When they lose, they're no where to be found. From what I can tell, everyone in the state of Florida just jumps on whichever bandwagon looks good at the time.

Saying they weren't that good last year loses its sting when they STILL beat us. LoL.....It's the best chance we've had to beat them in some while, let's see what happens.

I just think (maybe hope is the better word) that this will be a close game. Our strength is their weakness. Our weakness is their strength. So all that being said, it boils down to turnovers and special teams. (ouch)

Not to breakdown the game too much on this thread but the only thing that really scares me is TOs. That is what can get you beat & I have seen it too many times. I LOVE our chances IF we take care of the ball and don't have breakdowns on STs like in the past.

That may've been true in years past, but if that happens this year it could be a blowout. They don't have anyone who can shut down Hunter or Rogers. Only question will be who's front 7 will play better.

I think Wilcox will have a great gameplan for confusing Brantley and containing Rainey and Demps.. but Muschamp can't gameplan for our WR because as Dooley would say that's "darwinism."

Dumb.

They have an average at best QB.
Two under-sized RB's.
An average OLine.
And below average WR.

Just go read their boards, they will tell you that they are going to be good but that they aren't getting much of a pass rush with their front four and that their secondary is suspect.

Plays into our hands it seems.

Game being on the road will be a real challenge, but if they bring a B- game, they will lose.

If you've read either message board lately, there's no shortage of confidence from either fan base.

From what I've seen -- and I've lived in this state for 47 years -- that remark apples only to UM fans, and even then its not that UM fans jump to another ship when the 'canes are down, its that they claim to be 'canes fans when they are doing well and otherwise are just in county jail.

UF and FSU fans are fiercely loyal. Neither switches its fandom based on how the teams are doing. Sure, when FSU is down their fans tend just not to show up for games. UF fans, even in a weaker year, always sell out Florida Field all year long. But neither becomes the fan of a new team because their alma mater is doing poorly.

With Miami, of course, the problem is that the vast majority of their fans never went there. They're just South Florida punks who enjoy associating themselves with the thuggery. When Miami is down, they disappear real quick like. When Miami is relevant, you are in a sea of green and orange, not to mention glocks and probation reports.

IF UF oline is average how would you rate UT thru 2 games?

hasn't the OL given up 4 sacks so far? Looked better against Cincy but Mont was getting some nice pressure.

Miami is a garbage sports town regardless of the sport.

And the Gators didn't look to good against UAB. Lot's of penalties, UAB had nice run plays,,,watched the replay last night. Kind of disappointed in your defense. UAB had a nice touchdown pass called back,,because of an illegal shift,,very questionable call. No matter,,,yer defense will be sucking wind by the 4th quarter as the thought slowly enters their heads "We suck".

and UT's D was lights out? lmao UF starters were pulled by halftime of both games..compare the stats of each game and the only thing UT has done better is passing.
