Gator fans are the most arrogant fans in sports

I am disappointed to hear that Florida fans are acting like that. UT played a fantastic game and deserved to win it convincingly, as they did. Why people feel like acknowledging that means that they are being disloyal to their own team is beyond me.

Plus, I think objective Florida fans are not the ones going around saying that we will play like ourselves at tournament time. I don't think its flipping one switch. Its a lot of things, chemistry, timing, whatever you want to call it. We don't have it right now and need to get it back.

You do have it and need to keep it. I mean, duh.
OK, OK. Enough grovelling, get back to being a Gator fan and predicting overwhelming victories for your ubercoach and talented squad. This smoke blowing thing you've got happening is disheartening.

Shooting slumps don't last forever and Donovan will eventually get some more D out of the squad.

Just speaking for myself, the contrite LG is only good in small doses. I'm ready for the return of the fire breathing attorney....

If you'd beaten us by 4 points I'd be more inclined to antagnoize you. But you blew us out and the final margin of ten was much closer than reality. So I feel compelled, especially when it appears many of my UF brethren are being obnoxious, to celebrate your team's effort and victory.

If it makes you feel better, I continue to believe that UF's football team is on the verge of a break through to a USC level and that UT is on the verge of perpetual also-ran status.

And since its VASF day, or whatever, time to pay your bribe to secure your seat to continued mediocrity.

(Happy now?)

You know as well as I that dominance in modern college athletics will be short lived. The pendulum now swings faster than ever, so you have far less time to prepare for your crow. How would you like it, baked or fried?

I think AL is the most arrogant....I know they are delusional also but they have a mentality about sports that is beyond passionate to the point of being hatred....I don't think they enjoy being fans like some of us do because they agonize so over a loss or if another team is better than them. I haven't found GATOR fans or AUBURN or GEORGIA fans to be so obnoxious. I can actually watch games with fans of other teams and enjoy the game..no matter what the result but not with a Bama fan. I loved watching FL smoke Ohio State and I was proud of them. No one loves college sports anymore than I do but you do have to keep it in perspective....your happiness in life is not dependent on your teams's success or lack of success....I am a TN fan WIN or LOSE!

Anyone who thinks Florida fans are the most arrogant in sports has obviously never spent time around fans of the New York Yankees, UCLA basketball, Kentucky basketball, or the Montreal Canadiens.

You forgot Cowboys fan, The U, Mets and Cubs fans

and almost everyone else. Every fan finds some claim regarding their team whereby they can look down their noses at everyone else. That rationalization process is exactly what allows them to continue being a fan.

Cubs fans aren't arrogant, they're clueless. That's one of the requirements for rooting for that pathetic fraud of a franchise.

Be nice. Some of us got sucked in when we young. I'm still seeking therapy for this problem, but I believe it's cosmic and no force on Earth could possibly get me out it. Well, save death of course.

My brother is a UF grad so I won't say they are all bad.

Living in VA I may have to give a nod to Hokie fans. I mean you would think they actually invented football.

ESPN needs to do a VT commercial saying "Overrated lives here".

I agree; here in the Tri-Cities all I hear is Tennessee sucks, VT would kick the vols's a$$...im really tired of it wish we could play them and shut up the hokies:bash: :machgun: :gun:

Kentucky basketball fans are arrogant!! MY GOD!

That is for sure the truth. I was at the SEC tournament a few years ago when SC beat Kentucky in the opening round. It was like armageddon had struck the Georgia Dome.

what about Duke fans... come on.. when it comes to basketball they by far take the cake! I am at a conference of academics... I have listened to it all week... and this is even when they are bottom-of-the-barrel in the ACC.

Duke fans suck...
