Not one thing said by the Ga. state head coach was wrong sadly. A historic program just had its life support plug pulled and to be honest it was a few years too late...🤢 Never have I been more embarrassed to be a Tennessee fan and I have suffered through enough being 44 years old. My kids have yet to see a “good” Tennessee team and I don’t think they ever will.Fulmer led us to the mountain top and is driving as we plunge to the basement.

Couldn’t see the game today but JG went for 311 yds, 2 TDS and 1 pic. Yet most on here still treat him like he’s the problem? Those stats should get you a win 99% of the time. What am I missing? JG didn’t give up 38

he will not throw down field often enough, makes terrible decisions, his yardage came off of short throws. The last td was garbage time and prevent defense. Only 23 points scored. we had receivers open deep lots of times, but he continued to throw under. 23 points agains a 2 and 10 team is not good, and it is a reflection on the qb. Any qb can have good stats throwing short throws, but you won't score many points doing this. 23 points won't get you many wins in todays football

Watch the replay - he was a lot of the problem. It was his second 300 plus game but don't be deceived. His numbers are inflated, he just isn't very good. I would give him a 4 out of 10 for his qb play today and give the Ga State qb a 7 out of 10. He had multiple costly turnovers, dove too early for a first down, has no vision or presence during the game or in the huddle. JG doesn't understand the game, makes poor reads, is slow to release the football, lacks vision, and changes the pronunciation of his name once too often for me. I am sure he is a good student and a nice kid, he is not a SEC quarterback - he just isn't.

We would be a much better team and I believe would have won today if we had switched quarterbacks with Ga. State. Let that sink in.

Georgia State outplayed and outcoached TN today, in Knoxville. Very accurate statement. Don't be mislead by the stats, Tennessee played apathetically and allowed Ga State to dictate the game pace all day. Turnovers, zero defensive pressure, indecisive quarterback play from Guarantano, skill players not performing up to potential, piss poor coaching and preparation - the list could go on.

JG isn't the entire problem but he is a major problem. The "slide" he did perfectly summarizes the type of QB he is. He did not know where the first down marker was and he was a yard short where he could have easily gotten the first down. He is not an aware QB and never will be from what I have seen. He has the physical tools to get it done and probably the intelligence, but he is lost, scared, and unaware of what is going on around him on the field.

I love how you guys completely ignore the defense giving up 38 points to Georgia St but go straight to JG being the main problem.

It’s getting old and if you want to put the blame on somebody, put it on the players and the entire coaching staff.

I am putting it on the players - news flash - JG is one of the players and should be largely in charge of guiding and directing the offense. He should also be a leader and encourager, driver and motivator of the entire offensive engine. Instead he appears unmotivated, uninterested, drooping shoulders uninspiring and his teammates seem to follow suit. Contrast that with any other SEC quarterback and the difference is startling. It is ok to be quiet and humble, but you have to lead. Maybe he is uncomfortable in the role, and maybe he just isn't that talented but when you lose to Georgia State at home and you have multiple turnovers - and miss open receivers in the end zone - you very rightly deserve some of the blame and really no acclaim.
