Gary Patterson

Muschamp is obviously the "hottest" young coordinator. And I would love to see how Leachs offense would correlate to the SEC.
Steve Sarkisian turned down an NFL head coaching job last year. His star is burning about 300 times brighter than Muschamp's.

His team's success rates.

Pretty sure they're comparable to most other candidates in the discussion. It's not like the guy has set the earth on fire or won a BCS bowl.

I'm not saying he's no good....he looks interesting....I just don't think he's the type of guy you dismiss a Brian Kelly or Chris Peterson (my least favorite of the 3) for.

Chris Peterson doesn't deserve to be mentioned with Patterson.

Kelly hasn't kept the level of success that Patterson has had.

I work with a K-State Alumni who usually keeps me up to date on what's going on up there. According to him and other K-State fans, it is believed that Patterson to KSU was first reported by a UT blog/athletic officials so as to try and ruin his chances of accepting that job.

First of all, I completely disagree. They are giving us way too much credit. Secondly, is Patterson even really on Hamilton's radar? I know quite a few of us would like him to be but is Hamilton really going after Patterson?

Just thought I'd pass this on........

If we can get Muschamp he could make Trooper the OC... could you imagine the quality of chest bumps Shields-Watkins Field would see?

the quality of chest bumps would be greater than the quality of football being played on the field.

How is this Patterson related anyway?

You can look all the way back to page 7 and look through posts 91-104 and find all the talk about Muschamp.

Kansas State rehired Snyder, for anyone who hasn't gotten the news?

This means Patterson is still available. I wonder where he ranks on UT's list. He's got to be up there with the top candidates. TCU would be in the BCS this year had their kicker not missed FGs from 26 and 35 yards in the 4th quarter at Utah. TCU ended up losing 13-10 on a late TD.

Patterson would be a great hire. I would prefer him over Brian Kelly. His connection to the Texas talent pipeline would be welcome and needed.
