So by acknowledging the fact that national perception is that CBJ was treated poorly after our two best seasons in a decade and CCM was treated awful by fans after making the sweet 16, to you means im not a tennessee fan? Brilliant.

Patterson would be an excellent choice even if we didn't get together in the past. If he is willing we should be accepting.

Umm...where is the perception CBJ was treated poorly? I think by all accounts I have read in the national media people knew and expected him to be fired and were wondering why it was taking so long.

BTW, You weaken your point when you start using BJ platitudes (i.e. two best seasons in a decade)

Its not a platitude its an absolute fact. I havent been a CBJ supporter for a long time, but i still try to be objective in evaluation. That statement is a fact and the narrative was that we were trying to run him off last season as well and national rep was most thought we were crazy. What happened this year has changed things bit obviously. But my overall point is GP has it made in FWTX and it would be nothing short of a miracle getting him here. And it will tske far more than money cause tcu can match any offer.

I think that the real value in Patterson that people are missing is the assistants he would bring with him. I particularly like DC Bumphus. They took their lumps last week but over the course of several years have been very good. Also they have shown the ability to develop QBs. Kenny Hill has improved gradually throughout his time in Forth Worth. Before him Treyvon Boykin was a stud that was developed over time (not highly recruited). He was the 118 ranked qb with offers from UTEP and TCU. I love Gruden and would be happy with his hire but Patterson is my number 1 for those reasons.

We definitely could do a whole lot WORSE than Patterson and his coaching staff.....I'd take him....

Patterson is like that awkward girl in high school that was interested in you but you ignored because she wasn't the best looking, but has aged way better than the hotter girls and is now spoiled by the guy that lucked into her.

Yeah, it would have been awesome if Hamilton had the foresight a decade ago and knew the **** Kiffin was going to pull, but now I think that ship has sailed for any chance with Gary Patterson. That said, I'd be absolutely thrilled if Currie finds some way to pull it off, I just think its even less likely than Gruden.
