Gary Danielson's agenda

I agree with him about some of the blocking away from the play. Some of the peel backs are getting to be ridiculous.

Only need to block in the direction the ball is going...

So if the play is designed to go to the right side line and the left side of the formation isn't allowed to block? Then the defense covers the edge forcing the ball carrier back to the middle but now those left side unblocked defenders are free to sprint over.

That sounds overly complicated to officiate as well.

I actually think players are doing much better, you don't see near the launching with the helmet now. In fact, the have been just as many called that should not have been as opposed to true launching's. And in no way shape or form do I agree with Danielson on the rb's getting blown dead if they lower their head, and I venture to say most people do not agree. We can't just keep making rules, soon it won't be football and that one is way out there and would ruin the game to even more subjectivity for the refs to take on. Danielson needs to retire, his word isn't the end all. GBO!!!

Danielson needs to shut up. Stupid crap is what he proposes, utter chaos is what would ensue. He is a game destroyer, his opinion is not shared by most fans and players and coaches. GO VOLS!!!!

I don't understand you guys being OK with blocks behind the ball not being allowed. Did you not see Julio Jones run down a guy that scooped a fumble and was going for a score yesterday? You want to have to just let a fast guy go tackle your teammate without being able to stop him?

I'm all but certain he's talking about those pancake blocks that are completely worthless. He's not talking about running and simply getting in front of a potential tackler to make him slow down or anything.

I don't listen to him. I put it on mute when we play on CBS and use the radio broadcast. The CBS guys suck

Head/brain injuries are nothing to play around with. If there is anything that can be done to decrease these, it should be done.

But that whiplash could still cause a concussion!

Everybody needs to buy a copy of "Rugby for Dummies" because that's what football might be evolving back to.

The last thing that football needs are more rules that restrict physical play. It will just lead to more subjective and overly tight enforcement of those rules by the officials. The targeting foul called on Emmanuel Moseley being exhibit A.

And more injuries... Everyone knows that it is all or nothing with football
