Gametime weather (merged)

'91, '96 and '02 didn't work out so well... '92 did, but those teams aren't playing.

A slower track should help us. However, from a ball security standpoint, I don't know how we'll fare.

Doesn't a slower team become slower than normal in the rain?? Remember, we are playing against a spread now and they can rush it well out of the formations they have. Rain isn't necessarily going to cause us to win or lose, but instead gameplan different.

if its raining so hard it really cuts out the ability to pass (a strenght they have we fail at with our qb) rain could turn it into two run offenses against each other out of neccessity, and i think we might stand a chance if both teams were limited to only the run game

We can't pass the ball in perfect conditions....so our passing game is screwed anyway. Might as well make theirs a little more difficult with a monsoon.

What is the weather? ESPN said it will be sunny.

Currently there are a few clouds at 2,000 feet, scattered clouds at 3,300 feet, and a mostly cloudy layer at 3,300 feet. Temperature 84 with light winds. Humidity 80%.

9:55 forecast calls for increasing cloudiness. A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 90s. East winds 5 to 10 mph.

Gainsville Forecast:
Variable clouds with scattered thunderstorms. Humid. High 89F. Winds ENE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40%

The Vols are going to cloud up and rain all over their a$$.

Tennessee in a thunderstorm against Florida I like it. I have some very good memories of this game in the rain, and Florida PAIN.

GO VOLS.

According to weather.com the gametime weather is 87 degrees at kickoff and only a 10% chance of rain.

I kid. I kid. Besides, now there's a fifth thread about it. :) At least you got in before it got played out. Now this fifth thread-starter on the on the other hand.... :p

From my back porch the weather looks pretty good. If your hoping for the big rain, wouldn't count on it. If u want hot as hell and humid. You got it.
