Gametime weather (merged)

You are clueless. It is a huge advantage for us because we have no passing game so the slower and sloppier the game, the better for UT.

I completely agree, keep rotating fresh backs, play solid defense and who knows. We are already one dimensional (no passing game), if weather makes Fl more one dimensional that has to favor UT. I am not saying they wont pass at all but they wont be airing it out in the rain with EB lurking.

Sudeepvol: You do realize Florida lost 3 fumbles last week right?

You do realize Tennessee lost the game last week right?

Probably the quickest wit of anyone whoever commented on this site, congratulations. You probably fail in life as much as you do here.

It is an advantage to UT. When Crapton throws interceptions, there is a greater chance the Defensive player won't be able to catch them because of the rain. Just looking at the glass half full here...

It definitely helps UT. UF's offense is based on speed and the rain will slow us down. UT at least can go to their power game, but the gators don't have a real power back other than Tebow and we don't want to run him 20+ times.

I don't know about you, but the weather report looks good to me.

Nice and clear until about kickoff and then a little thunderstorm action. If this is the case, I think it definitely works in our favor. Fumbling may be an issue though. At least it should help with the speed.

Tebow did have problems in the Troy game when it rained early in the first half.

Crompton scares the he-- out of me in the rain.

Florida thunderstorms are a 4 PM thing every day. The sun comes right out and the humidity spikes.

In the summer time it rains often in the late afternoon. It will not help the Gators speed and will limit Tebows passing accuracy. If we know that he will primarily run, we will be more successful against him as to put more attention to him running with the ball.

Area forecast discussion
National Weather Service Jacksonville Florida
937 am EDT Sat Sep 19 2009

..high astronomical tides to continue through the weekend...
..Rain chances decrease but locally heavy rainfall remains
possible...

Public update...deepening easterly flow regime will maintain precipitable waters
above 2 inches. The combination of high atmospheric moisture...
temperatures climbing into the the 85 to 90 degree range and weak
East Coast sea breeze will likely bring scattered showers and
thunderstorms today. 12z (7:00 a.m. EDT) kjax sounding indicates the atmosphere is
moderately unstable with derived cape of 3000 j/kg using modified
parcel of 86/73...which is certainly plausible. The main concern
will be heavy rainfall given high atmospheric moisture and weak
steering flow...with potential for isolated strong thunderstorms
west of the U.S. Highway 301 corridor...especially towards the I-75
corridor where warmest afternoon temperatures are forecast. Will
update zone forecast product to remove morning wording.
