Turner and Bowden stay glued to Herro.
Keep PJ out of the paint.
Kyle has to defend without picking up stupid fouls.
We need 15 collective minutes of minimal mistake ball from Fulkerson/Walker in the post.
Push the pace and take care of the ball.
Offensively, don’t settle for 3s and work inside out. Bone/Turner/Bowden/Schofield have to drive the paint.
Kentucky isn’t nearly as big in the front court as they usually are...Travis and Montgomery are their 2 threats down low and both go 6’8”.I am guessing Tennessee packs the paint and hopes Kentucky does not get hot. Who does Tennessee have standing above 6'7 that matches up with Kentucky's front court? Kyle Alexander must stay out of foul trouble.
Win!•Defensive rebounds, can’t give UK multiple chances to score.
•Guard the 3 point line, especially Herro. He can be dangerous when his shots are falling.
•Williams & Schofield need to stay out of foul trouble.
•Turner I believe, will be the key here. He was a big contributor in last years win at Rupp with that clutch deep three in the 2nd half.
Overall, I want to see what I’ve been seeing from this team. Play hard defense and stick to your gameplan.
And please, do a better job at defending the 3 point line. That’s really the only weakness that I see with this team.
