Dude, you may not be aware but Dick Trickle committed suicide in 2013. He'd been dealing with 'severe chronic pain' and doctors couldn't find the source.

Maybe they can... You would think not being in a college campus, I heard there was censorship on a few signs at previous gamedays in Knoxville, they wouldn't claim the same property rights as college police do when it comes to this kind of stuff.

I don't care what that article says. I grew up in Roanoke, VA. I've spent plenty of time in Blacksburg (bored 90% of the time) and have plenty of friends that went to VT (also bored 90% of the time). I'm well traveled so I have plenty of experiences to compare. Fun town for a day, maybe a weekend. Hiking, scenery...great. Gamedays, fun to tailgate and experience Lane Stadium. That's about it. Night life is awful. Food options, grocery options, entertainment options, shopping...all dismal.

I didn't mean it's ugly or aesthetically unappealing. I think the Hokie stone is great and you have a couple new spots "downtown." It's just not fun. Sorry man, but it's true.

Since Earnhardt Jr is going to be the celebrity picker for gameday and he is clearly O V E R R A T E D hasnt and likely will never win a championship you should replace Dick Trickles name with Earnhardt Jr's!

I also like Jr cant remember who he picked LOL thats funny I dont care who you are

Gotcha. I've called Blacksburg home for 45 years and I guess we'll just have to "agree to disagree" in comparing Blacksburg to Roanoke. Worked in Roanoke for many years and it's just not my style for raising kids, enjoying the outdoors or even going out at night.
I guess the "90%" of your friends who attended Tech and found it boring weren't represented in the latest Princeton review. Seems VT student's are pretty happy with the town and campus these days? To each their own, I guess.

Hoping my Hokies can make it a game on Saturday night.

His doctors won't let him pick until September 10.
He is on brain rest due to his concussion. Still not sure if he will be cleared to think on Saturday.
