Good morning everyone -

I have tickets for the opener and am really looking forward to it. I don't get to go to very many games.

We'll be coming up from Gatlinburg on the afternoon of the game - What recommendations for parking would you all have ?

We are healthy and able to do some walking as well...

Enjoy this forum a lot - thanks in advance for any help

Should be lots available up and down 17th Street. I used to park in Old City next to Barley's Taproom and ride the shuttle to corner of Cumberland and Phillip Fulmer Way. Cheap and easy. Picks you up there after game also

Coming from the mountains, downtown would easily be you best option traffic wise. Easy in/out to Gatlinburg either by Chapman Highway or I40.

You could pay $20 to park at the Locust St garage or try to find a spot in one of the municipal garages that will be free (Market Square, State Street, etc.) but those will fill more quickly and will require more driving around. Other private garages will also be a available but not sure the prices.

Parking in market and state street garages is free and both are downtown. You can walk if you want takes about 20 mins or ride the shuttle from Krutch park also downtown and drops you off in front of the hill

If you don’t mind walking, up past the James White fort there is an outpatient doctors office of some sorts. Can never remember the name. But they use to charge $10. Not a bad walk, except the way back has a big hill by Ruth Chris. Nice walk down past Calhouns and the Vol Navy. When leaving it’s super easy to get out and your on the interstate within 5 minutes after getting back to your car. Have parked here several times over the years.

Is there any shuttle actually running? I saw this on the UTK website...

There is usually street parking on the hill where the Duncan Law School and the old Catholic Church are.Balter Beerworks even have a gravel lot up there. Always good for a pre/post game beer. A bit closer than parking in the Old City. Streets are Walnut, West Vine, and Cafego !

Guess not on Thursday but there are other options like uber and motorized quads. Must be a supply issue for KAT. I know they don’t have enough drivers

What's it generally cost to UBER from Downtown or the Children's Hospital to the drop-off area on Circle Dr?
