LOL at people complaining about the media trashing us at the same time calling Schiano a pedophile and saying Disney is run by NAMBLA - what a world.

I'm not complaining about them trashing us. It's an honor.

I'm not saying Schiano is a child rapist. I'm just saying he heard the "Don't drop the soap in the locker room when Jerry is around" jokes the players were telling. When the players knew and Paterno knew, how could Schiano not know? If he's the type of guy they respect, I want them to disrespect us all day long.

I find your cognitive dissonance fascinating. Asking why I'm not making threads about Mullen poaching recruits from MS is as asinine as me worrying about any other school that's not UT. Who gives a sht?

Your rationalization of the way kiffin treated us then and now suggests you lack self respect or a modicum of dignity.

I suspect you're too young to place value on those traits.

No its not at all. Mullen could have been our coach. I never once saw you say in any of the Mullen threads that he shouldn't go after any of his recruits from MSU if he became our coach.... So your cherrypicking to make your argument against Kiffin.

Once again, I don't want a nice guy or someone who would be a buddy figure. I want to win.... Also, we aren't dealing the young, arrogant prick that we hired 8 years ago.

Dude has clearly rehabbed him image and matured. Just look at his interviews where he has specifically asked about his exit at UT and how he handled some USC issues.

But hey for you, a coach that is good enough for the greatest football coach in all time history isn't good enough for you. Got it.

This is exactly why people think Tennessee fans are stupid. The man has never been accused of this. If you are going to rip somebody, at least be truthful and factual.

He was accused of seeing Sandusky raping a kid and doing nothing about it. And everyone in the program heard the "don't drop the soap around Jerry" jokes in the same locker room. If it was Gene Stallings' son with Down's Syndrome who "didn't know about it," I'd be the first to give him the benefit of the doubt. But the media is talking out of both sides of their mouths when they say that Schiano is brilliant, yet too stupid to figure out what the "don't drop the soap around Jerry" jokes were about, especially when he allegedly saw it firsthand.

He's getting the benefit of the doubt by a lot of people just because he's a great defensive coach. That's the same reason people looked the other way from Sandusky during the '70s, '80s, '90s, '00s and into the '10s.

Tennessee fans should start calling in to any radio talk shows especially ones emanating from North of the Mason Dixon line and telling these snobs just exactly what kind of pedophile and cheating enabling pricks we think they are.

Alabama is about to elect a pedophile for senator.

Ditch the North vs. South narrative. This isn't 1860.

Oh, and ESPN sucks.

Your argument about me not trashing Mullen because "he could have been our coach" is simply terrible. I implore you stop digging, this is an awful argument even by the FF standards.

Kiffin is absolutely the same immature douche that was here previously, 15 seconds on his twitter feed will confirm this beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Tennessee will bounce back and will do so without being a cuck.

And what coaching options are out there that want this job for the fact of it being the UT job and not simply financial motivations? Because a payday isn't going to be what gets UT back to national contention

You are doing a lot of embellishing of the facts. The facts are one guy said he heard another guy say he heard that Shiano said he thought he may have seen something. When Shiano was announced a candidate for the job, I was opposed to this before the Penn State stuff was referenced. I didn't want him based on him as a coach and when the Penn State stuff came out, I was even more opposed to him being the coach. I don't think we should look at anybody associated with Penn State during that period because we don't know who knew what. My objection is to people referring to the man as a pedophile. He has never been accused of this. Let's rip him for maybe turning a blind eye or being a prickly coach, but the man doesn't deserve to be ripped for something that he has never been accused of doing. We look stupid when we do that.

Totally agree. I don't understand the love for this guy or Gruden for that matter.

They're like the hot stripper guys keep trying to pick up. You keep throwing them money, they may show you a little more, but in the end you know you're never going to score. You're just going to go home blue-balled.

You cant take away history man. He bolted Knoxville in the middle of the night and then we hired Dooley. He laughs at us on Twitter. We arent going to hire him. Ever. Get over it. Move on.

Not to mention he only won 7 games with a pretty talented team that include Eric Berry. Yeah we almost beat Bama but so did CBJ in 2015. People act like we won 10 games in 09.

Malik Jackson
Dallas Thomas
Montario Hardesty
Gerald Jones
Rico McCoy
D. Moore
T. Poole
Stocker
P. Waggs
Dan Williams

Plenty of NFL talent in that team. 7 games was an underachievement.

260 pound Sullen twins on OL… and almost beat Bama with them… everyone forgets the details

This exactly. No school had even interviewed him that I know of which pretty much says it all. There is a reason this miraculous head coach has either been unemployed or working as a coordinator since he was fired from Tampa

I read somewhere that Oregon was going after him last year and settled on Taggart.

Your age is showing. You are out of touch if you don't think recruits and student fans (you know the loudest part of the fan base) don't eat that stuff up and helps recruiting.

Once again, anyone of us would have done the same thing if we were at USC and the UT job came open and offered to us. Even more so, anyone of us would have definitely done the same if USC had written what was essentially a zero buyout to do so. Last, coaches recruit players for them, not the school.

Its funny, I haven't seen you posting anything on here about Mullen traveling all over Mississippi this past week visiting his MSU recruits to go to Florida. Where is your thread/campaign against that? He was going to do the same had he became our coach..... The fact that you think you wouldn't have done the same thing in the same position just screams ignorance.

At the end of the day, if Kiffin is good enough to be hired by the greatest football coach of all time, he's good enough to be rehired by Tennessee.

To argue anything against that just shows how holier than thou you really are.

#KiffinToTheHill

I would be happy to see Kiffin back. Not ecstatic. I believe he would do well here. However, are you willing to send newly put in place Phillip Fulmer, AD there to get shot down by Kiffin and give him what he wants—a huge troll job for the Twitter masses? I am not sure if Lane wants to truly be back to Knoxville. Looks more like a game he likes to play on Vol Nation for attention. I could be wrong. Who knows what the right answer is in this coach search? I hope Fulmer for all of us.

Meanwhile UT fans should be proud of their involvement and there is genuine reason for optimism for the future with Fulmer being appointed AD. Media can STFU for all I care.

THIS IS SO WRONG!

FACTS:

ESPN is a bunch of Big 10, PAC 12, Bammer loving sycophants, and the SEC Network on air commentators could care less unless it's Bama, UGA, or lately Auburn.
I quit watching everything but the actual games long ago.

They’ll be the first ones to pile on once we begin winning.
The line then will be “UT rises from the ashes blah blah blah. We knew it was just a matter of time”

quoted for truth. We'll be the 'feel good' story on Game Day. Hope when that day comes, VN tells them to go F themselves.

Yall are some serious crybabies. When we win they promote us. We bring in a lot of money. Its good for them to bash us for ratings right now. They treat all the schools like this. When Bama was down they weren't promoting Bama under Shula.
