I'm not saying Schiano is a child rapist. I'm just saying he heard the "Don't drop the soap in the locker room when Jerry is around" jokes the players were telling. When the players knew and Paterno knew, how could Schiano not know? If he's the type of guy they respect, I want them to disrespect us all day long.

No its not at all. Mullen could have been our coach. I never once saw you say in any of the Mullen threads that he shouldn't go after any of his recruits from MSU if he became our coach.... So your cherrypicking to make your argument against Kiffin.


Once again, I don't want a nice guy or someone who would be a buddy figure. I want to win.... Also, we aren't dealing the young, arrogant prick that we hired 8 years ago.

Dude has clearly rehabbed him image and matured. Just look at his interviews where he has specifically asked about his exit at UT and how he handled some USC issues.

If it was Gene Stallings' son with Down's Syndrome who "didn't know about it," I'd be the first to give him the benefit of the doubt. But the media is talking out of both sides of their mouths when they say that Schiano is brilliant, yet too stupid to figure out what the "don't drop the soap around Jerry" jokes were about, especially when he allegedly saw it firsthand.

He's getting the benefit of the doubt by a lot of people just because he's a great defensive coach. That's the same reason people looked the other way from Sandusky during the '70s, '80s, '90s, '00s and into the '10s.

Your argument about me not trashing Mullen because "he could have been our coach" is simply terrible. I implore you stop digging, this is an awful argument even by the FF standards.

Kiffin is absolutely the same immature douche that was here previously, 15 seconds on his twitter feed will confirm this beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Tennessee will bounce back and will do so without being a cuck.

And what coaching options are out there that want this job for the fact of it being the UT job and not simply financial motivations? Because a payday isn't going to be what gets UT back to national contention

You are doing a lot of embellishing of the facts. The facts are one guy said he heard another guy say he heard that Shiano said he thought he may have seen something. When Shiano was announced a candidate for the job, I was opposed to this before the Penn State stuff was referenced. I didn't want him based on him as a coach and when the Penn State stuff came out, I was even more opposed to him being the coach. I don't think we should look at anybody associated with Penn State during that period because we don't know who knew what. My objection is to people referring to the man as a pedophile. He has never been accused of this. Let's rip him for maybe turning a blind eye or being a prickly coach, but the man doesn't deserve to be ripped for something that he has never been accused of doing. We look stupid when we do that.

Totally agree. I don't understand the love for this guy or Gruden for that matter.

They're like the hot stripper guys keep trying to pick up. You keep throwing them money, they may show you a little more, but in the end you know you're never going to score. You're just going to go home blue-balled. :blink:

I would be happy to see Kiffin back. Not ecstatic. I believe he would do well here. However, are you willing to send newly put in place Phillip Fulmer, AD there to get shot down by Kiffin and give him what he wants—a huge troll job for the Twitter masses? I am not sure if Lane wants to truly be back to Knoxville. Looks more like a game he likes to play on Vol Nation for attention. I could be wrong. Who knows what the right answer is in this coach search? I hope Fulmer for all of us.

Yall are some serious crybabies. When we win they promote us. We bring in a lot of money. Its good for them to bash us for ratings right now. They treat all the schools like this. When Bama was down they weren't promoting Bama under Shula.
